That was fucking AWESOME. I was expecting some kind of black comedy, but what I got instead was a genuinely tense and thought provoking thriller. I can't wait until Ep2, which is due on the 11th.

The second episode is a satire on entertainment shows and our insatiable thirst for distraction set in a sarcastic version of a future reality.
In this world, everyone is confined to a life of strange physical drudgery.
The only way to escape this life is to enter the 'Hot Shot' talent show and pray you can impress the judges.

yea, i think this is my favourite show for 2011
wish it was longer
there haven't been any proper anthology series in a long time
masters of scifi was great but also very short
I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
Just finished all 3 episodes and by god this is completely different from what i expected from Brooker.
The first epsiode was just fantastic, the other 2 were alright, not as good as the first one though.
1st ep has great concept, reminded me a bit of Real Humans. But especially the first two thirds are a bit boring and emotion-y, then it gets better
2nd ep is my favorite of the season. some good twists, very mean
3rd ep is ok. the idea is good again, but whole Waldo character is ultimately a fail because there is no sophistication behind the comedy (as the politician/Edmure Tully guy points out during the debate) so it gets kinda redundant.
I really liked this series as well, always had a thing for The Outer Limits and the like.
Although I liked season 1's episodes a bit more than season 2's. Third episode of season 1 is probably my favorite one. I really liked the story and attention to detail for the futuristic gadgets (like believable tech and even UI).
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Yea I really loved all of it.
Naturally as with all anthology series the quality, taste and subject matter vary wildly between episodes.
There needs to be more.
Modern TV is so stuck on persistent narrative, how ever slim.
I still have that special to watch, but other than that I've seen everything. I loved it. Of course, some episodes are stronger than others, but it's a fantastic show nonetheless. And kinda disturbing at the same time More than once it made me think about what our (meaning human) fascination with technological advancement might mean for us in the future. One fuckup is all we need - and we might not even be entirelly aware it happened. Just living our lives oblivious to the fact that we're slowly sliding into a grotesque nightmare
Of course, Black Mirror purposefully makes these things extreme, but still... it makes me think and that's a lot more than I can say about 99.9% television
They made a deal about "multiple episodes", Brookers is currently writing them.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
