I need a new windows install, and right now i'm running Media center 2002, I'm considering downloading a newer version of XP that isn't a piece of garbage. How difficult is it to keep windows XP installed and working? I don't want to have to download a new version every time Microsoft releases a new update. Is it as simple as installing it and using it like a legit windows or do I need to constantly download new cracks to keep it working? I'm worried because in about a week I'm moving to a new house that has shitty slow satellite internet that somehow blocks all p2p. Thanks

There are tools to make the WGA Validation Tool think you are using a legit copy so you can update.

asus z170-A || core i5-6600K || geforce gtx 970 4gb || 16gb ddr4 ram || win10 || 1080p led samsung 27"

But how often do I need to recrack the Validation tool? For those running hacked XP when was the last time you had to do anything to keep your install working?

You don't need to crack it, just use a tool to change to a non-blacklisted serial key, like NOT LEGAL (mods; hope that link isn't illegal, if it is, just remove).

There are relases with all the newest patches, updates, SP2 and you don't even have to enter any serial.

Newsflash : New updates come out all the time, you failed in an original way.

I agree with Parallax, there are universal/corporate keys that will never get blacklisted, no need for cracking shit, true genuine windows forever.

Alright, and if this is OK with the rules, What is a good release to go with? I was thinking of going with the newest version of Media Center because it's the only App I could find that worked with my TV tuner however 2003 is broken. Lots of people say that corporate is a good version because it stays cracked. Can I get a good release name?

Or just run a key discovery tool in your school/uni/work and get their key... Laughing That's what I had a friend do in the army. Razz

As have allready been said, then you just need a volume licensed version of Windows XP Pro with SP2, and a non-blacklisted and MS-registered VLK.

If you don't want to update it by yourself and want's a version that's allready fully up-to-date, then i would recommend this release :

Microsoft.Windows.XP.Professional.Student.Edition.SP2.Integrated.December.2007-ETH0

Nevermind the 'Student.Edition' tag, as it's simply a normal volume licensed version, which just happens to come from academic origins, but eth0 only posts a non-blacklisted and MS-registered VLK in the nfo's of there 'Student.Edition' tagged releases. You can also get there 'Corporate' tagged december release instead, but then you just need to use another VLK than the one listed in the nfo, as that isn't gonna pass WGA checks.

"Corporate" is a term used by release-groups about a volume licensed version, and that is the prefferable versions to use, since they don't need to be activated after the installation. That's the only difference between a retail and a volume licensed version. There are about 10 file-differences between the two versions, but they don't effect anything else.

Personally, then i can't understand why anyone would go through the trouble of keeping those cracked dll's by eth0 updated all the time, when there is better ways to do it...

To avoid having to use and continuously update any kind of WGA cracks, then the only needed thing is a WGA-passing VLK, and that can be found very easy, as there is e.g. one posted all over the net that's (wrongly)reffered to as a student VLK, and it has currently been working for several years by now. There are also others to be found if having a little patience. I have 4 WGA-passing VLKs currently.

If not wanting to do that(although i can't possibly see why ???), then the next best thing is the loopback hosts file trick, which means using a non WGA-passing VLK with a 640 channel-id and then to add a single line into your hosts file which loopbacks Microsoft's WGA checking site into localhost, and then you will pass all WGA checks from now on.

Then as the very last option, is the cracked dll's from eth0...

Sorry, but just my humble oppinion...

Anyway, i forgot to say that if the OP wanted a release with SP3-RC1 integrated, then i would recommend this release :

Microsoft.Windows.XP.Professional.Student.Edition.SP3.RC1.Build.3244.Integrated-ETH0

@snop1050

Sorry mate, i didn't meant to be disrespectfull towards you or anything, but i just feel that there are better ways available...

Let's look at it this way : In the last 3+ year's, then a certain VLK has worked perfectly and passed every single WGA checks possible, but how many times have those cracked dll's needed to be updated in that time-span...

...And it's not like it's hard to find a valid VLK, since you e.g. just have to go to pirate's bay or something like that and then you'll find a valid VLK from the listed nfo's of one of eth0's "Student.Edition" releases...

Again, i don't mean to dizz your method, but i just wanted to give my view of this to the OP and others reading this thread...

Btw, LeoNatan's method is simply brilliant, as with his way, then you'll get a VLK which hasen't been plastered all over the net and hence, will most probably last for a very, very long time Smile
