Well, as most know, Im not as up to date on all the gagets you guys know so much about so I thought I'd ask the techie dudes of nforce for their recomendations
Im looking for a touch screen pda, or phone, or device that will play movies, mp3's, tv and is obviously touch screen
So please, if you have an idea, make sure there is a link cause i wanna see! :
I dont want to do Ipod if I dont have to you know? Like, can you put music you download "illegally" and stuff on an ipod and is an ipod touch compatible with a pc?
Yes to the above.. its sad.. but the IPOD touch really is beautiful. Don't get me wrong, you can probably get something with the same features for cheaper if you go grab a WM (Windows Mobile) PDA but.. the interface may actually be worth the extra..
Yeah it is. You can put all your illegal music on it too.
Though if you would add a specific price you're aiming for, it will be easier to know what will fit you the best.
I don't know if you know it already or not, but you get Wifi with the Ipod Touch/IPhone - You can surf the web with it, watch youtube, etc.
If want an 'alternative' to the IpodTouch you can get the Archos605Wifi, lot more space, but it's less sexy.
You can also check out Samsung P2, It has everything what ipod itouch has
movies, videos, mp3, blue tooth, pictures, rss feed, and new firmwire is coming out soon with more improvements with touch ability to rotate pictures or movies even make text files larger so you can read them
as for bluetooth you can dial numbers on the mp3 player itself, answer calls

The only disadvantage is the lack of features when playing back a movie, ie. it's either native or full screen - you cannot choose something in the middle.
it's also difficult to navigate to a certain point in a 1.5 hours movie - when I pull my finger off the slider it always moves by a minute or two
Touch screens will be better in a few generations, right now they are not convenient.
what makes it worse is they they are using them on such small screens

If you just want a portable media player I'd say get the Creative Zen Vision W ... it doesn't have a touchscreen but it is a hell of a lot cheaper than the iPod touch...
8 GB iPod touch = $300
30 GB Zen Vision W = $200, 60 GB = $300-350 on ebay (can't find them in a canadian online retailer)
One important question: do you want it to be a phone or a PMP (portable media player) only?
only media like mp3s and vids and stuff.
Got a cellphone that I like. Its a normal razor but I like it and it gets great reception, dont wanna switch

I have the LG Venus which is half touch screen.
Venus with no antenna has as good if not better than my other cell WITH an antenna. Decent battery life, touch screen is pretty fun but has regular keypad for txting and numbers which I find better so I can actually feel what I'm hitting.
I have almost 1000 songs and will i ever listen to all of them?
which is 4gigs, then about 50 vidoes which is another 2-3gigs and last is a movie that is almost 1gb
being realistic you dont really need all that space :/
first off, I have a creative zen which is 4gb + 4gb SD card.
now, the only music i have on it are basically what I'm listening to a lot right now, which is maybe 25 albums (4 gb card) and 20 music videos + a couple tv show episodes/one movie (the other 4). you might have trouble listening to 1000 songs, but a lot of people don't.
shit, just one season of a tv show would be a few gb. he wants a media player, not a mp3 player. don't get me wrong, that thing looks cool as just an mp3 player...
