So my bros gf family has a Desktop PC and a laptop , both connected to a router , with a printer connected to the desktop .

both the laptop and the desktop are able to use the printer , i assume its done through the router now i hate routers with a passion .... anything i should do to make it work ?

cause their router got broken , and they bought a new one , at the same time their desktop pcs windows messed up , so they asked me to reinstall and reconfigure it ( no problem with that , im a pro in everything but routers Wink ) .

Now i will install printer drivers on the desktop .... anything i need to setup in the new router ? or does the laptop automaticly use the network and reconize the printer ? cause im clueless about that .

all help is appreciated .

all u should have to do is go into the printer properties, go to the sharing tab, and enable printer sharing... i think that should be it. its been a while since i set it up but thats definately the first step.
