has anyone successfully updated to vista sp1 with a slic oem bios? not a hack, not using vista activator 2.xxx etc, but had an activated vista with a slic injected oem bios and has updated with sp1?


intel i7 3770k @4.4, ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, 16GB Corsiar Vengance 1600 ram, ATI 5850 BE, Antec 1 Case, Antec 1 550W PSU, emu0404, 120gb agility3 ssd OS, 2x60gbvertex2raid0 Games, 3 TB total sata2 Data. win7 x64.

for those who are interested... sp1 installed fine, still activated (24hrs+) after windows update and validated download (dxredist). whether or not they will update wga to stop oem bioses only time will tell.
For those with an oem slic bios, who are holding off... do a full partition backup and give sp1 a go, if it goes tits up then recover from partition backup
