Spoiler: | I might be remembering things totally wrong, but what game had you killing some guy at the end? and i think i remember helicopters and the game was more action based than the previous Tomb raiders i've played. I know it must be either Legends or Underworld, but i can't remember :/ |
And for those who have played tomb raider on both Playstation and PC, which is best for Tomb raider?

I seem to remember on one of these when it was released on PC and there was some XBL exclusive DLC. I wonder whether that will be released on PSN (or if it's even on the disc?)

no the xbox dlc is still exclusive to the xbox and isnt included. In my opinion, I think the best one of the three is tomb raider anniversary and according to screenshots, this version is the nicest so far (even nicer than 360 version).
And the Tomb Raider you remember is Legend.

By all means give it a go. However it was panned as having the worst camera/control method of all the games. I am a big TR fan, but I have no recollection of getting very far in to this game (although when it was released in 2003 was my first year of having a "proper" job!). I recently decided to give it another go and again could not get past how bad the controls were.

And what about first three TR's remastered on HD? Releasing the last 3 seems lazy job for me... |
This was a reboot from the older games. You're mixing up the older series of 6 parts with the newer one.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Don't play Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness unless you are a really big TR fan, this one is definitely the worst in the serie. But they should still make a remaster of the old 6th games, including AoD...

So since no review, I tried the game :
TR Underworld is the same obviously, nothing new.
TR Anniversary is the nicest version ever, nicer than the PC/360 version with nicer textures (not all, but some of them) that aren't blurry, a new lara model (few tweaks) and new lighting effects and better shadowing. It definitely looks better, and after 4 years of non playing it, I could see the difference.
TR Legend isn't a silly port of the PC (next gen enabled) / 360 version : it does use "next gen" textures, but the lighting is different, and Lara doesnt look as plastic as the old version now, so let's say it's a mix of TR Legend with next gen enabled and disabled (PS2 + 360 version).
About the bonuses : they suck. A static theme, not even dynamic, who cares. Bunch of BTS videos that were released back then when the games were announced, so nothing more than what you have on Youtube... And costumes for PS Home, in case you care about your look in Home
So basically, if you wanna play it, it won't be for the bonuses, but for nostalgia and the few visual enhancements... I'd say it made me wanna play TRA again.
Last thing, and negative point : TRA is running at like ~40fps, and not 60fps, which you would expect from a PS2 game... I guess they couldnt optimize it well since they actually improved the lighting/shadows/textures...

Shut up, im not complaining about their skills, im complaining about their maturity and willingness to help out others rather than themselves. If i had the skills to do what they do i wouldn't hesitate to spread it to the people. So just don't fucking speak unless you have any idea what i'm talking about.
