Can anyone suggest a good power supply. Does it really really matter if a power supply is SLI certified and will it work with ATI Crossfire as well? I would like to use a good powers supply with the NVidia 8800GTS or ATI RAEDION 3870. Is there one brand that dominates over the others on the market? What should be looked at in a powers supply when purchasing one?

When it comes to computers, you get what you pay for. And theres always a few great company's.

Me personally, I won't buy any other PSU than Pc Power & Cooling (bought by OCZ sorta recently)

http://www.pcpower.com/index.html

And never think for a second that most PSU's that claim great wattage actually keep that wattage. Most are rated when their turned off, once they heat up they lose quite a bit of power. PC rates theres around 60C last I remembered.

They also come with a 5 year warranty.

talking about PSUs , anyone able to suggest a good bang for the buck PSU brand ?

gonna order a cheap rig for basic gaming for my bro at www.mindfactory.de , doesnt have to be super quiet or 4878 cables or leds nor does it need 650W , but has to be rock stable , i was thinking to spend about 40ish euros.

Nobody mentioned Corsair. Am I right to assume that it is not as good as the other brands?

My 350W Enermax lasted for over seven years until i put it to rest. Right now i have one from Be quiet and one from Sharkoon.

@Stefan F: The Sharkoon one I got (480W it's an older model) has a good price performance ratio. It also got a good review from ct, don't know about their current line up though.

Fortron works great for me.

My previous ones, Enermax and Thermaltake, all blew up.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards

Which would you suggest? The Antec NeoHE 550 or the Corsair HX520?
