Is it too slow or is it just me? tryied the MOH-PA demo today and it ran pretty laggy, way too slow. It seems not to be the in game frame rate but the speed the game runs overall, for example the crosshair takes too long to reach its normal size, even the aiming movement its slow(on top mouse sensivity and full speed), and for a 500 demo graphics arent that good have in mind the use of havok physics wich dont impress me much. Call of duty just blows it away 10 times.
My specs:
-Pentium 4 3.0E Ghz
-Intel Glc865 board
-522 mb DDR 400 Kingston Synchronized
-Geforce FX-5200 128 RAM
-Hercules Digifire 7.1
-Win XP sp 1 with Direct x 9.0c

I think thats what happens when a famous franchise feels desperate to survive having better competitors like Infinity G. And thats when they fail themselves and their Fans (i myself was one). They just couldn't wait a little longer for a new engine like a quake 4 or another, just imagine pacific assault running on a crytech engine!!!. so they implemented havok physics engine. the demo might look nice with all those planes on the henderson and sttunning effects but there isnt much into gameplay that slow.
Watch out for Brothers in arms, now thats a promise.

its an AMAZING game, as for the slow problem, try turning down the texture detail from high to medium, that fixes it. I think its a problem with the alpha blending of the grass and smoke effects etc, its a really amazing game, try it!

and the crytech engine friggen sucks compared to this, its just a demo and im sure this bug will be fixed in retail, and even if it isnt ill settle for playing with med textures cuz its a so god darn good game Very Happy

Good demo but not as good as CoD. Runs smooth as butter for me on my setup with 4xAA and 8xAF. Very Happy

IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 Processor 540 with HT Technology (3.20GHz, 1MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB) x800SE

not the most impressive spec, and MOHPA looks and plays silky smooth.

I do have PCI-express graphics which might help.

My 3D mark 2005 gets me just over 3000 marks, may be you need to check your mobo drivers and make sure your graphics display is set to AGPx8 (if your running PCI.

Check graphics display - Settings - Advance - Geforce Display properties, typicaly this can register as PCI on a self build, which would play dog slow
Smile

by the way this game uses a lot of new pixel shader stuff you won't see on anything but the latest gen cards. I ran this on my old Nvidia 9500 ultra, and the difference is startling compared to my new x800.

But I can compare the CoD:UO Demo with the MoH:PA Demo... and it kids MOH in the nuts... MoH just feels so calm compared to CoD.
