The only really relevant indicator how good is your computer, is Windows Experience Index

Well for Windows that's a OK index to measure performance in general but there's some limits in place, like the above that you can't go above 5.9 for HDD's without a SSD drive for example.
Haven't tested 3D Mark 2011 (Don't have DX11 capable GPU yet as I'm waiting to see how that will develop further along with GPU hardware upgrades and such.) plus they limit you to the low/mid settings and the simpler tests unless you purchase it.
(And I'm not much of a benchmarker.)
Scores seem fairly even across both ATI and NVIDIA though from what I've checked, of course the GT580 is the fastest GPU on the market and has better tesselation performance but ATI keeps up pretty well.
(Will be interesting to see how the 6970 works out in both these "extreme" tests and general real gaming or render or application scenarios, 6990 was a dual-GPU model but might be pretty effective as well.)

It only supports DX11. Yours is only up to 10.1. So, it won't.

My score is zero, I suppose, because my graphics card (the same I use to play all games in max settings) is not DX11.
I used to be a knee like you. Then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

i have a shitload of virtual instruments installed and making the jump to w7 just for some games hasnt appealed to me yet and would mean that i had to install all those gigs of isntruments again. Another reason is the missing disk-space (and the unreliability of hdds of 1tb and more).
