Many people have wanted to play Silent Hill 1 on the PC, but hate having to hassle with emulators to get it to look right, run good, and sound good. Well, this is where we become your best friend. We've decided to make what we call a "PC (con)Version" of Silent Hill 1. No, we did not "remake" the game. What we did was pretty much make the PSX version easily playable on the PC.

You must be thinking, yeah big deal, so what, I got an emulator for this. That's cool. But I've realized from others (as well as personal experience) that people don't want to hassle with configuring emulators and getting them to run the game perfectly. Here's where we come into play.

We decided to make an unofficial "PC version" of Silent Hill 1, the game that started it all. What we did was use ePSXE as the so-called "engine" for Silent Hill PC. However, we've made it so that you don't have to do any of the work. All configurations and settings are automatic. However, you can still change options, such as resolution, bit depth, and much more.......if you want.

We have also tweaked the hell out of ePSXe and its plugins to get it to run specifically for Silent Hill. We've spent hours figuring out which settings work best, which provide best quality, which provide best speeds, and so on. After quite some time, we got the game running as best as you can get it to run on a PC.

Now we didn't just tweak an emulator and slap it in a ZIP file and call it Silent Hill PC. We've also created a full auto run menu.......keeping the mood of Silent Hill in mind, as well as a complete installer, video setting configurator, custom game icons, and more. We've also made it "feel" like a PC game. Just run the Silent Hill shortcut to get the sleek looking launcher up, which then has options for "Settings", "Play Game", and so on. We've also implemented the use of a quick save\load feature, which even has multiple quick save slots.

Long story short, we made it very easy for people to play Silent Hill on the PC. All you do is install it, then run the game. No complicated settings to mess with (though you can change some settings if you desire) and no hassle whatsoever.

Shouldn't this be considered warez? You are downloading the game and its not a mod or free source game...
