Oh man this game is fantastic! Just like the old one only they improved the gfx and sound and it even supports wide screen resolutions. It's good that there are still some pc games that weren’t ported from some console and work great. Highly recommended.

this is retarded, you need vertex + pixel shaders 2.0.

I was so looking forward to playing this game with my mates @ school on the laptop.

There is not exactly a save option, but if you beat a level the next one is unlocked and the next time you start the game you can choose level x directly. Level 1 is preselected though, so maybe that confused you.

Mini-review:

Not very deep, but pretty entertaining, each level can be done in about 10 minutes, maybe later ones take longer, I am at level 10 atm.

You unlock new aircrafts in between with different stats such as speed, amunition, health or bombs (I think there are more stats but I am too lazy atm to look it up).

You don't need that many buttons, shoot, drop bombs and boost. Hit boost twice and you do a half looping to get enemies tailing you. You can also increase and decrease speed and switch camera but not that useful.

Missions vary from shooting down enemy planes, bombing enemy bases or transports to guarding your bombers. Maybe there is more but as already said I am not too far into the game yet.

If you are low on ammunition/bombs or low on health there are sometimes floating power ups for health or ammunition to pick up.

The game is good fun, I didn't notice any bugs and graphics aren't too bad either, it's great to just hop in, do one or two missions and get out again.
