the local duty freeshop had gotten a stock of DS3 from Japan. I bought one after paying a premium. I read some guys saying the rumble was much better than the 360. After trying out a few games, I found it was just rumble. Its a bit softer than the 360 so it wont jerk the controller from ur hands but otherwise its just as. And all that talk abt directional rumble is just some fanboy's wet dream, I didnt notice anything. Only thing good is the added weight as it feels more like a controller than some highschool kid's project but since u cant turn off rumble like the 360, I find myself using the sixaxis more. Luckily I am on very good terms with the shopguy so he refunded the money back and took the DS3!!!

Nice, usually you can't return such items cause it comessealed in a retail box, huh? But can you really not turn off the rumble? What those idiots at Sony thought?

hmmm I just tried it today and it has like right rumble and left rumble. But nothing special if you ask me. I never notice the rumble when I play. Only when I put the controller on the table and it starts to jump. Very Happy

edit: Only 1 game it was really cool... I think it was ghost recon. When you had the sniper it made some soft rotations. In the same speed as you breath in the game.

I'm getting one from Japan soon as well. I don't really need rumble with most games, but Motorstorm is gonna be great with this! Smile
