The Political Machine?

I found the premise very nice, but It got old very quickly, are there any games out there that emulate those kinds of aspects well?

I asked this in the GPS thread, but since that doesn't seem to go anywhere, I thought I'd ask in a new thread.

Never played The Political Machine or Super Powers 2 but i have been playing hearts of iron 2 of late, It's a ww2 strategy game.

Quite good really.

I played Super Powers 2 for ages. But I was always under the impression I was never totally in charge. Either that or I was just too thick to grasp it entirely.

I forgot about Democracy, that's the closest you will get I think but I've not played Super Powers.

There are some really old games like Shadow President and stuff though if you're willing to play that type of game.
