I have this weird feeling like I've seen a thread by this name not TOO long ago, but I searched and went back a few pages...guess it's gone.
I just finished Fahrenheit (a.k.a Indigo Prophecy) and it really gave me a renewed thirst for good newer adventure games.

I'm looking for something that's mid-age, as in, not The Longest Journey 2, but not Kings Quest 3 or something Smile
I've played the first TLJ, Grim Fandango (so far my favorite), and some other not too old games that aren't popping up in my memory right now...

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated (and so is beer...I have no idea why I decided to put this smiley...)

The Dig. I still replay it every couple of years. Really like the atmosphere, locations. It is better to play it via ScummVM IMHO

I liked Still Life too, it's great if you don't mind a very short game with an open ending.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards

The first Longest Journey is imo the greatest adventure game ever, also the dig.
Runaway a Road Adventure was lots of fun aswell.

I myself am in need of a new good adventure game to sink my teeth into, anyone have more suggestions?

Few that come to mind..

Gabriel Knight 3
Broken Sword 1, 2 & 3
Monkey Island 3-4

Recently I played 'The Moment of Silence', released in 2004. Quite a good adventure if you like the modern, gritty atmosphere of Fahrenheit.

Sanitarium.

Quite possibly one of the best games ever made. The story is second to none and its still eerily creepy and entertaining to play to this day.

Just found out that Simon the Sorcerer 4: Chaos Happens is in development and coming out Q1 2008. So I highly recommend to play Simon the Sorcerer 1 & 2. Yes, it is old(ScummVM is a must), but it is so hilarious, so vulgar especially the Simon the Sorcerer 2 Very Happy
