What are the pro/cons of Fifa vs PES? Is it that PES has better gameplay and FIFA real players? I honestly don't have and opinion on this.. If you answer my question, mention both games with +/-.

Pro evoluton soccer:
crap commentry [-]
and sound [-]
lacking polish [-]
no offical names or clubs [-]
Good gameplay [+]
Player animation [+]
Fifa 2005
Good commentry [+]
good sound [+]
Offical names,clubs [+]
More polished [+]
good gameplay [+]
less animation than PES [-]
actually its hard to choose between then, fifa 2005 is better improvement than 2004 was,and i like the real atmosphere of a match with real names being called which PES don't have, but liking PES for its control
If only PES had better commentry and offical names and stuff it would be perfect

So to sum it up:
* If you're a football-fan Fifa 2005 is the better alternativ.
* If its gameplay, PES is a little better.
got it

If you're a football fan who like realism, great gameplay, ability to do what you want with the ball, then choose PES.
If you're looking for fast fun, arcade shoots etc...then choose FIFA.

I don't understand why people keep saying Pro evolution soccer don't have real club or player names?
That isn’t true, it do have real club and player names and this year they even license three leagues this year.
Spain / Holland / Italy, and also but without real shirts and stuff - England/Germany/France!
Still I do believe some clubs & players remain with fake names but not sure which ones and don't really care but it’s clearly not like 4-5 years ago!
And other then that people from the community (www.soccergaming.com) will be patching the Pc version as they did with the PS2 Version (WE8 + PES) So y’all will get to play with Man Utd or arsenal or whatever with their real shirts etc. And they don't even need to change player names because nothing is wrong with them!

the pes games have patches released constantly to update players and teams so it isn't a problem that they don't have as many licenses.
so basically, if you want a game that actually represents a game of football, get pes. if you want a game that is a shoddy arcade representation, get fifa.
for me there is no contest.

FIFA 2005 is a big improvement over the past games, so I'll be playing both - but PES/WE are for football fans pure and simple, you'll forgive any shortcomings on the basis that it delivers the gameplay you need.
FIFA is more of a game, it's pick up and play and forget about.
PES/WE takes over

PES fans seem to forget TWO Major things.
I mean if you like Hammering the AI every game then yer stick to PES. If ya prefer more of a challenge and want to play Real People Online then get Fifa.
Also the 2nd point is that the World Cyber Games has had Fifa as a game since it first began 5yrs ago , surely if PES was that good it would of made at least ONE appearance in that time ? Yet it hasn't.
I will agree though that the Gameplay in PES is better than Fifa but until PES provided Online Play for the PC i'll stick with me Fifa as i get bored of beating the AI every game its boring.

Just out of Curiosity , if you are from the UK and want to take part in what is slowly becoming the Largest Fifa Community in the UK then head on over to www.fifa-mra.com and register yourselves for the Sweetpatch FTL Academy.
The SFTLA is now in its 4th Season and contains over 40 UK Players and over 180 Registered Members.
We will be starting Season 5 with Fifa 2005 around December and we will be awarding League Winners with Individual Trophies. League Cup Winners will also receive an Individual Trophy and every player taking part will receive an Individual Players Medal.
There will also be an FA Cup purchased and the winner of this will see their name engraved on it and proudly showed off on and around the site.
On top of all this you also have the chance to win a Club or International Shirt of your choice by entering our SFTLA Prediction Tournament.
If you like the sound of all this thats on offer head on over to www.fifa-mra.com and get yourself registered for the new Fifa 05 Season.
The SFTLA is for UK Players only unfortunately.
