so i was in the city centre today and took a bus to the local arena to buy some mighty boosh tickets.
on the way back home i stop in the city centre to pay a bill at the bank before walking down to the bus stop.
which is like this on the road [ B U S ] but you would not fucking believe it! TWO!! fucking retards have mistaken it for a special LAND DROVER parking area because theres two of those huge gas guzzling waste of money peices of shit parked up inside the designated area for buses to stop at.
are people so retarded they really think that big rectangle with the huge letters B U S inside it is a parking area?
i was stood there for a good 30minutes with my toddler inside a buggy aswell waiting for a low liner bus to come along that goes past my house, so its not like someone had quicky parked there to nip inside a shop.
those cheap fuckers can afford an expensive enough car but there to cheap to buy a parking ticket! WTF! it was one of the main streets going through the city centre aswell

I've always wondered, but never really figured this out:
Why so many people living in California, a place not really known for it's rough roads, with storms and masses of rainfall, need a fucking SUV to get by..
Why are people that stupid?

Not to try to justify idiots in SUV's but... California is well known for having the worst roads in the USA.

Mudslides and heavy rains during monsoon season are also quite common in California.

Okay, okay, bad example from my side then I'm still confused why they NEED a SUV.
Sure, if you're freakin' rich, why not. But if you have loans, complain about the gas price, and don't have alot of cash over at the end of each month, and still drive a SUV - you're plain stupid.

They don't need SUV's. They are utility vehicles but how often do I see them around here being put to use? I see someone hauling stuff in the back like once every month, otherwise it's mostly guys who think size of car = masculinity and women who love the driving position. Up high and above everyone else, a commanding position.
I can't fucking stand them, especially the lifted trucks. People buy cars, lower them do engine mods = a better handling and faster car. These morons lift their trucks (Here in CA) to increase drag, reduce fuel economy, blind oncoming traffic with their headlights up in the trees, increase the odds of rolling their fucking elephant over and worse of all end up paying thousands more for tires.
Jeez.

I have a SUV. I use it for kayaking, some of the roads I use you can't use a car, like not-active logging roads. I also go 4x4ing with friends. I also drive Sea to Sky Hwy and 4 wheel has come in handy after a snowfall. I actually had to pull over once and wait for a snow plow to go by. Cars were turned back.
I never take it downtown tho. I use public transit for that.
Mine isn't a status symbol. It is actually taken off road.
