Even though I'm already quite close to the end of the game (I think), I just can't stand this problem anymore.
I'm playing on a Intel Q6600 Quad-Core CPU, Geforce 8800gt, 2GB Ram on 1680X1024.

The problem is that I got some weird looking horizontal lines on the screen that 'cut' objects that are relatively far from the camera.
Because this picture is in some shitty JPEG quality, it's a little bit difficult to spot, but if you'll look hard enough you would see that in this picture, Al-Mualim's face is being cut by these lines in the beard area.

Any Ideas on how to fix that? Never had any experience with this kind of problem before.

Thanks!

Confused What are you talking about lol? I don't see the problem? Do you mean the aliasing? Enable antialiasing... Laughing

No, I'm not talking about aliasing.
As I said it's hard to spot.
Maybe this will make it clearer.

Oh, right. Enable VSync, it will remove the tearing.

More on the phenomenon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tearing

Yeah, I know the no-vsync tearing phenomenon but this one is a bit different. This one is constant, as opposite to the tearing that I'm familiar with that happens only when there are fast movement in the picture.
Well I'll try checking it tomorrow, as at the moment I'm not near that computer.

Thanks Smile

Hmm... You have it only in that game? Very strange if it's not the sync tearing.

its not v-sync tearing its Nvidia's new graphical driver , it disables some objects to have the best performance had the same perk , go to your drivers menu >Manage 3d settings>Program settings>Assassin Creed

set those to this settings showed on the pic to disable this crappy Nvidia cheater system that boosts your performance

yeah i know at first i thought it was a LCD thing so in plugged my 15" monitor to test it and got the same graphical quality errors and only in this game other games where OK ,the only thing to fix it was to change those settings in Nvidia drivers

oh yeah just remembered the same lines where also in SpiderMan 3 , at least now i know how to disable this Nvidia cheap fps boost trick

Cheap boost trick that only shows on certain games, to certain people? Laughing Sounds like it's something else, but still somehow connected to those optimizations. Or maybe the engines are just too sensitive to those optimizations.
