It's sort a related, but to me Dutch sound like a mismatch of Danish and German spoken with a lot of throat flem...how the F can one understand that!
Actually going to Born on Thursday, but ALL! Dutch speak VERY good English so no prob
If i would talk to him he would understand a bit though cause are a bit alike but written completly different
Just messing around here. But that's a very common mistake that people make. Thinking that
1. Dutch is spoken in Germany. Deutschland => Dutch
2. People in the Netherlands speak German.
It's funny though since English, German and Dutch fall in the same group of West-Germanic languages. I guess the classification is made on different criteria than how similar they are to each other.
i speak a little dutch and found it easy to learn as a german. It still has its quirks though. What i didnt get from the article is who forced them to close down the site and why they complied?
In German it would be "they speak" "Niederländisch" as its called "Die Niederlande" officially, I guess one says "Holland" in daily language in German. And I guess most Dutch speaks as good German as they speak English. Most Dutch ppl I know speak 3-4 languages. Probably the best in Europe on languages. I guess it has to do with heritage (trade) and being a small country.
they think they are cool and they only fight piracy to fill their own pockets. They are not backed by any official institution, so who gives a damn what brein wants? They will act though and blablabla and they will have to pass it on to an official instance.
I remember that received a legal punishments some years ago because they made a site where people could snatch other people. You could enter an email address on their site and then an email was sent with "you are doing illegal stuff, we have your name blablabla"
Brein was guilty of 'inbreuk op de privacy' and "zich opstellen als wettelijke partij zonder het recht te hebben'
In other words lots of noice and thats it. They dont represent any legal person, so who gives a shit what brein does. You cant make your own court and ask money or give penalties. They pnly take credit for doing stuff together with real parties like IFPI or RIAA.

BREIN is perhaps best known for shutting down Dutch eDonkey 2000 link giant ShareConnector.com in December 2004. Due to controversy over the legality of links to illegal content, and a lack of quality in the evidence provided by BREIN,[1] the case has not been put to trial yet. After being offline for two years, ShareConnector reopened in December 2006.
Brein is being sued btw

The infamous Dutch anti-piracy organization BREIN has infringed TorrentFreak’s copyright and blatantly copied a quote from one of our articles without attributing the source. TorrentFreak is thus considering legal action against these copy/paste pirates, where they may face a fine of up to $975,000 and several years in prison.
btw yo should read their site (dutch) they made 2 torrenthosters being convicted. Fines of 250 euros!!! fighting crime!!!
