Old, no? I'm waiting for them to finally put in the new UI.
Edit: Yeah, this is B3, I didn't see that at first. Ignore my comment.

I've just installed it... looks cool, but I can't really see the difference, other in the slightly changed design

Found it! If you highlight some random text in FF and right click on it there is search Google option... nice, me likes

Shame they don't put beta versions of the UI stuff they are making.
Edit: Yeah, this is B3, I didn't see that at first. Ignore my comment.

it acts with the toolbar in the top right. If you have it set to google it does it for google. If you have it on Ebay it'll ebay what you highlighted etc.

Hey guys!
Just found this, and wanted to post here. If anyone's having problems with the currently released AdBlock Plus, you should try this:
http://adblockplus.org/development-builds/
Have some updates and works properly on the FF3 betas.

Hey, I'm stuck with an old PC for a few days, it has dual boot 98/xp. The problem is it's slow,it doesn't have enough memory for smooth XP (192mb) and the cpu is only a P3 450mhz. Even web surfing is kinda slow and unresponsive at times, even in 98. I use FF 2.
Is the Firefox 3 beta faster/lighter than 2 ? Do most addons work ?
Should I upgrade ? Or is there some other lightweight (non-shitty) browser that could save me ?

Well, I think the new FF3 Beta 4 is faster than FF2. But for speed on such an old machine, I'd recommend Opera. It lacks extensions and addons, but it's fast.

Haha ! Posting with FF 3 beta 4 now.
It imported everything fine and it's noticeably faster and more responsive on this old rig. Half of my addons work, the more important ones, the others got disabled. I really like this, hope IE8 is an improvement also, I sometimes (have to) use that too.
Firefox 3 FTW ! Too bad they dropped win98/ME support. Minimum platform is win2000 now.

Of course I use AdBlock Plus, who doesn't, lolz ? But it seems to work great, unless I'm missing something.

Try clicking on an image and adblock image. See what happens (or more precisely what doesn't)

A new dev-build will be out. For now look for the extension that makes old extensions compatible.

Go to about:config and create a new boolean key titled "extensions.checkCompatibility" and set it to "false." Now restart and enable ABP.

Just uninstalled this and went back to 2.0 firefox. It wouldnt let me log in to a secure site to buy some clothes, gave some error about the security certificate being rejected.. Soon as I switched to 2.0 again it worked fine.
