I'm placing this in the General-section as I feel it's not specific to consoles or PC-games.

What is your best game-related memory, or the experience you remember to be your favorite?

That time you beat that insanely hard boss/game? The feeling you got from that spectacular view of the landscape in a game?

Anything, just share it!

So many fond memories!

Although, i think my super nintendo memories were the best.

Particularly - Legend of Zelda: LttP and Secret of Mana!

Spent a better portion of the summer playing those games and it was great!

The intro to Deus Ex, it has such clever narrative, story, and superb voice acting (yes, even by most of today's "voice acting") - this goes for the entire game really, of which there are countless great moments Razz One of the more funny moments is when agent Gunther Hermann is having a little discussion with Anna Navarra over the soda machine Very Happy

The first time I stepped out of the Vortex Rikers ship in the beginning of Unreal.

I'll come up with some more later, but those two games are probably the most everlasting moments I can remember.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards

For me the best memories are linked to playing on my C64, highly memorable games there were Cauldron I and II, Elite and so many more. Also the introduction of the first Voodoo cards blew me away, first time I saw the games Unreal and Forsaken was like WOW. Amiga days were like the best ever cuz I had a good contact back then and I received a box stocked full of games every week(and we'r talking like 100-200 floppies a week), so in the end I had about 4000 games or something for my amiga:LOL:

I was an avid mapmaker back then and I used to write articles for CU gamer, mapped out every map for games Eye of the Beholder I, II and III, and black crypt. Also used my MKII cartrigde for finding cheatcodes which I also submitted(and that was when I was like 14-15 years old I guess). Those were the days;)

C64: Playing Bards Tale/Wastelands/Mars Saga/Pool Of Radiance until my eyes started to bleed.
Amiga: Playing Bards Tale, Might And Magic, Wizardry, Perfect General until my eyes started to bleed.
Pc: Playing Might and Magic, Combat Mission, Call Of Duty until my eyes started to bleed.

Pretty much sums it up Razz But ofc there are other awsome memories. Like copy party, bbs, SCA virus etc etc

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

So many, but I clearly remember watching the cinematics of WarCraft 3 with amazement (especially the Arthas' Betrayal one). The combination of music and visuals was just mind boggling.

all my best gaming memories are from when i was really young and i had a c64, amiga 1200 etc.

my brother is quite a few years older than me and he was into gaming aswell so every birthday or christmas i was garunteed a really nice game as a present from him.

i think my best memorys are probably playing speedball2: brutal deluxe and sensible soccer.

my brother used to get pissed if i beat him at sensible soccer though Sad , i once beat him 4-1 when one of his mates had came around to play games with my brother and i got hit by my brother because he couldnt take the embarassment Laughing

so many great games around in the late 80's earlyer 90's and there wasnt that many games that seemed to be copying other peoples sucess unlike these days.. everything just seems so similar with nothing to really make most games stand out

My favorite gaming moments where with old school adventure games.

Space Quest 1 - 5 , absolutely loved them

Mean streets - First game i ever bought. Had little peaces of paper everywhere with info written down because it was a detective game.

Heart of China - great game

Rise of the Dragon - One of my all time favorite adventure games.

C64 days would be Jump man, Jack the nipper, beach head and Alice in Wonderland. Oh and Arcon (Spelling) if i was playing 2 player.

My best game related experience was when I got shot down in my A10 from an enemy shilka in Operation Flashpoint. I got captured and send to an enemy encampment where I was imprisoned in a tent with a guard at the entrance. '
At late night I crawled out of the tent, when the guard lost his attention, steadily avoided the guards at a nearby fire. I crawled and boarded a empty BMP which unfortunately for my captors were unlocked. I toke some grenades from the vehicle and toke the gunner position and opened fire upon the enemy I think I toke 5-6 down in the first barrage and then I immediately returned to the vehicles driver position and drove as fast as I could away from the encampment. In the background I could hear the enemies Hind choppers in the air and the roar of the enemy tanks engine. Realising I was a rolling target practice I disembarked from the vehicle in the woods and quickly ran as fast as I could.
Their my mission became obvious from the missions notes: HQ is in north, I might reach it by navigating after the northern start So I ran through the dark woods with only the northern star as navigation, and with a paranoia of enemy tropps. After 30 minutes I reached HQ and mission complete.

Shit I love that game.

The first thing that popped into my mind was the AI in Half-Life. There is one scene where some guys rappel down an elevator shaft i believe. My intention was to peek out and then take the guys out one by one but just as i was about to look out they lobbed a grenade up at me. I saw the grenade coming at me in seemingly slow motion but i was so amazed that they didn't just stand there and die like in most shooters i had played that i froze and was blown up. I had to pause the game and regain my thoughts i was so amazed and in awe. Many a time i thought i could just hide or chase and was blown away by what the enemies did. That's when i knew i was playing something special. I also had similar feelings while playing Goldeneye on the N64. I remember once shooting a guy in the ass and he grabbed both cheeks while running away. To say the least i died within seconds from laughing so hard. Both games were just overworldly great.

Neocron beta. I stole over 400 Billon dollars in the game from the richest clan because they were going around killing newbies. I pretended to be a member with a new character and asked one of the leaders to send me a invite. They did and I wiped their clan bank account clean. I then went around handing millions of dollars to newbies while they watched and could do nothing because I still had my no PVP chip in.

The clan started getting owned and couldn't rebuy equipment that they lost when killed so the members by floods dropped out of the clan until it was pathetic in size While I was called Robin Hood by many players. I was the richest single player in the whole beta and most clans didn't even come close to my wealth.... Good times.

I think I may actually hold the world record of a numerical amount of money stolen ever. Sadly this event isn't recorded and since it was fake money I doubt I would get into any record breaking recordings.

2nd Unreal Tournament Multiplayer
3rd Soldier Of Fortune 2 Multiplayer
4th Return To Castle Wofenstein Multiplayer

All pc games of course.
