Got a 70 Draenei Shadow Priest and 70 Night Elf Hunter on Moonglade (EU), and some lower level Hordies on Bladefist. Haven't played it for about 6 weeks now after playing constantly for 18 months or so, but will go back soon especially as 2.4 has just been released. I did a 7 day trial of LOTRO recently, but I wasn't too impressed with it, but looking forward to AoC soon, it looks awesome!

Nice, anyway since i've NEVER played alliance I have a question for you ally players.
Is there still a need for Draenei Restoration shamans in raiding guilds etc?
Since I am currently leveling my resto shaman it would be nice to know how the situation looks, I know that the situation might differ from server to server but it would be nice if you just gave me a general point of view.
Thanks!

One of our top 3 healers is a resto shaman. They make boss fights infinitely easier and trash is a joke. Banana beam 4tw. You need a lot of +heals to make it effective though.

As you say it depends on the server and the availability of spaces etc but I'd say that you have a good chance of finding a decent raiding guild with a resto shammy, as the totems are very useful in the raid environment, and as they are the least populated class on the Ally side I don't think you should have too much trouble. From what I lnow on Moongalde resto shammies are rare and sought after in comparison to other classes.
You can always check which guilds are short of shammies @ http://www.wowjutsu.com/eu/stormscale/
I much prefer the Horde characters (the Undead in particular) but started on Moonglade ally with some friends but now cba to build my Horde characters up to 70 again, and at 70 the work really starts.

It is and I didn't realise that LOTRO had dived so badly, although after doing the trial I can see why. I think AoC and WAR will eat into WoW's dominant position this year, it will be interesting to see.

I see you still haven't downed Vashj. Infinetly easier bosses? Trash that is a joke? While you are certainly correct that restoration shamans are an asset to any raid you forget to name the reasons why. It certainly isn't chainhealing. (although as with almost any ability of any class there is encounters where it comes in handy).

Well i've quit now but i was the maintank on Tarren Mills best alliance-guild
Sold the acc for about 650€.
This is my warrior and this is my hunter although transferred and in someone elses dirty hands
To make a long story short, before those two chars i had: 2x 60 paladins, 1x 60 priest, 1x 70 priest, 1x 60 warrior, 1x 70 rogue. Played approx the same amount of alliance as horde.

Loved playing a gnome cause i hated meeting gnomes as horde Just so annoying to see that little ponytail-wearing midget-girl chopping up everyone
As for the gear, at the point when i quit, about 3 months ago, i had what you could call "perfect" gear tankwise And after that it got sort of boring farming BT/MH two days a week for half a year
