judging by demo
Pros:
Loox great, better than DIRT, mud efx is just awesome
Cons:
Engine sounds practically none existent [yes i disabled music completely], no cockpit view, no damage [even just a visual one, don't tell me about license bs], driving WRX and Evo feels like driving same car they just look different, cheating AI [when they bump into obstacles they practically don't lose any speed] and no replay but DIRT demo didn't had one either so it could be in full version
good if u are very and i mean very bored, but i'm sure is skiping it, only loox won't cut it for me
overall DIRT is better in all terms and no it's not a sim [in case someone thinks like that play RBR], but pure arcade with damage, cockpit view and great engine/exhaust sounds

Sega Rally beats CMR hands down after playing the xbox demo. Gameplay not changed since sega rally 2 many years ago but hey its all about the Powerslides and not hitting anything so who needs damage modeling its all about shaving that 1000's from your lap time and pure arcade fun. (you don't see CM in arcades do you)

only played the psp version so far.. which was complete and utter shit. hopefully the pc version will be 40x better.

Looking forward to this, but no matter how good it is it can't beat the thrill of the original arcade game. Racing against a friend sitting next to you and all that.

Shouldn't the topic be "SEGA Rally Revo"? Anyways, looks at these tech demos, it gives you a good idea on the surface system that is not only for the show, but deforms the road surface and affect the suspension & grip.

This is Sega Rally man. Sega sticks to the same formula that won everyone over back in the Model 1/2 days, they have no reason what-so-ever to change it.
I wouldn't even compare this to Dirt, it's just a different type of "Arcade" racer, one you pick up for instant gratification and meant to appeal to a broader audience who not always wants their axles broken mid rally.
Notice your cons? Those same cons will stay consistent From Sega Rally 1 all the way up to this one, because that's just the way this game has always been.
Busting a "Very Long Easy Right" on the Saturn's Sega Rally is still a blast today.
