I've been running Vista since launch. First X86 and more recently x64. In both versions i've had similar problems with DX10. Basically with DX10 settings enabled my resolution is suddenly limited to 1280x720. This has occured in LOTR:O and Crysis. I recently tried the new 3D Mark Vantage and again the res is limited to 1280x720. So far the only DX10 game i've been able to run at my max res, 1920x1080, has been COH.
As i've mentioned i've tried this on 2 different OS's. Also with 2 different GFX cards. 8800GTS and my new 9800GTX. So there's been quiet a few different drivers installed, which would lead me to believe its not a driver issue.
I've tried all the usual tricks, editing cmd prompt and cfg files. This usually makes the game default to 800x600. I've also tried lowering my windows res, i run at 1600x1024, but this didn't help either.
Its just an extremely annoying problem, every res under the sun appears in DX9 mode. I've listed my specs below, any ideas would be greatly apperciated.
