You could try media portal which is supposed to be a pretty full-featured solution but I didn't have much luck running it. Could have been due to the tv card that I have which is based on the BT878 chip. I use K!TV (also called kastor tv) which is sufficient for my needs although I can't use my original remote anymore. In my case I couldn't use the original software anymore after an update to xp.
