Only recently I've really enjoyed watching documentaries, I was wondering if any of you guys have seen anything interesting lately ?

The last ones I seen are

Zeitgeist 9/10 - Religious debunking, amongst other stuff
Thunderbolts of The Gods 7/10 - A new take on how the universe works, most of it flew over my head but was very interesting
Endgame: Blueprint for Global Enslavement 8/10 - New World Order stuff !
The Universe (Series) - All about the universe in case you never guessed ! Very Happy

Hopefully we can keep this thread going like the 'The last watched movie' !

Thanks,
Marcus

Yeah its very informative, first couple of episodes deal with the planets in our solar system then it ventures further out and weird stuff like black holes. Grab the first ep for a primer and see if you like it !

how is a movie about religion going to make me feel helpless or scared? are they talking about shutting down the net... that'd be pretty much the only thing that'd do it Sad

Zeigeist is a great documentary, there is a part right in the beginning that really sums up what religion is.

"religion has really convinced people that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches over every one of our moves, and he has a set of rules that he doens't want for you to break in any circustance or else he has a special place for you where you will agonize and burn for all eternity...and he loves you" Laughing

Incident At Oglala - a documentary about Leonard Peltier and the events that made him convicted of murder - for many people unjustly convicted. Really good stuff, Robert Redford's voice is in the movie.
If you wanna know who Peltier is - google it or look at wikipedia.

Superhumans, a doc that aired on Discovery some weeks ago. About people having special abillities all people could take use of in the future. And that we might change our spices by gene manipulating. Darwins theory might be right, but it takes way to long time for us to improve. A very scary tought tho.. if something goes wrong. Well they have successfully done it with mices ^^

I just watched a documentary from Discovery Channel.
It was translated to german, but the title would be something like "From Pac-Man to Cyberspace - The ultimate documentary about videogames".

It was really great, and not like most other docs about games. They really showed how games are tied to everything that happens in the world, and how they are influenced and influence other things. A must see IMO Smile

Fighter Pilot - Operation Red Flag. It's an IMAX documentary so the footage is really stunning at times. If you like fighterjets this is a definite watch.

I've got 50+ of these: Discovery.Civilization.World.War.II.The.Complete.History.XXX.
Where XXX equals the chapter. Only found em in sub par quality but if you have the time it's worth getting.
