Wow this looks sweet, like a Rome Total War game, cant get enough of those.

Btw did they just release this officially? Horrible time for a game like this to come out...looks like a replica of RTW and its not gonna hold its own against that competition.

This game has lotsa cool stuff to do, unfortunatly the battles are nowhere near the complexity demonstrated in RTW, also I noticed theres no special abilities for the armies, I loved those so much, like activating war cry then charging in, but you only have the option to attack or charge in this game.

However, the strategy portion seems to be a bit more detailed then RTW's, and theres nice touches like assigning the attributes your generals get instead of being automatic like RTW's system.

Its hard not to compare and contrast every aspect of these games, they are so similar, RTW has both a solid strategy game and battle game, while this one seems to lack in the battle department (I've only played minor battles so far but it just seems very primitive)

I love my lite-on...its a 24x that I bought awhile ago..I remember hearing the best thing about them are their compatibility with everything, and its true, still works perfectly will all recent clones without a hitch

You need to put the $$$.dll from the crack folder of the CD2 in the main folder of KoH too Smile

More like a mix between Total War and Europa Universalis...
You got a huge Europe map, and when there is a battle, you can fight it "Stronghold Style"...

Hope it helps you Very Happy

Rome: Total war absolutely destroys this game. The battles are so shit in this game it completely ruins it. Basically, the battles are fought on a tiny map, with crappy graphics and generic medieval units and gameplay. Utter shite in comparison to R:TW. Where the battles are epic and the graphics own.

how the fuck do you bypass the intro cinematic screens??? escape doesnt seem to work nor any of the other keys. everytime i start the game. damn it's annoying.

EDIT:nevermind. this game is total crap. screenshots can be so deceiving. anyway, if anyone wants to know how to skip the startup videos. press ctrl+LBM. keep pressing them and the startup videos will skip.

This game is great! I just got round to installing it and, although the battles aren't as good as R:TW, it has some other features which are better.
