Thora released a much superior version of this under its real title "5 cm per second" (Byousoku 5 Centimeter), available in 720p or 1080p. Softsubbed subtitles and hardsubbed signs and karaoke. It's a beautiful movie, but avoid at all costs if you want to see explosions, crazy gunfights, gore or whatever action scenes. This movie isn't about that.
I've been a fan of Makoto Shinkai's works ever since "She and her cat" but this one wasn't nearly as good as "The place promised in our early days", which won a bundle of awards.
