Hi , i dont , i use AVG , uninstalled that and it still doesnt work , noticed on one of the forums they say its not properly cracked yet , the crack isnt 100% working

You probably got a non-SSE2 processor. AMD Athlon XP, barton, sempron.

na its not the cpu , i have the intel core 2 quad 6600, my system is a real good system, i couldnt get the demo to work either

it is crack related i think , problably another crack come on , i will keep it installed just in case

Well, if you had the same problem with the demo, i don't see how this could be related to the crack...or am i missing something?

mm, wierd this i have managed to get the game running now, right click on the GRID.EXE select run this program in compatability mode for windows98 / windows me
game runs fine then
thats the only way i have been able to get it working on my system using windows xp

When you're game doesnt do anything try this:
Add the parameter -novirtual to the shortcut so it looks like this:
"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\GRID\GRID.exe" -novirtual

make sure you have the image or mini-image mounted... without, i had things stuck @ splash screen...

I'm having almost the same issue.. I started up the game fine, created a profile.. then I changed the video settings to highest.. After it restarted to apply the changes all I see is the grid logo with a black scree, the logo disappeares after 3 seconds, then nothing happens.. just the black screen.. running the game in win 98/me fixed it but now I can't change the video settings or anything!!! I did not have this issue with the demo running @ highest settings though..
vista X86 ultimate, e6750, 2gb, 8800GTS 320mb running 175.16 driver.

ive just set the "Hardware Sound Accleration Level" to "No Accleration" and it fixed my problem, now i dont have to use compabiltiy mode anymore.
just enter dxdiag at start -> run and go to sound.
