Giving out financial details to a website associated with warez isn't exactly the smartest thing in the world.

True however Nforce has always had a good record and never tried to get money out of its users before. Its not like this is a torrent site or anything. No real ads either... if they wanted to get money porn ads would be plastered all over nforce.

If this place ever gets raided in the future for whatever reason, they'll have the personal details of each member. Also, if the site gets hacked and someone gets the DB, they might be able to steal everyone's personal info and use it for ID theft. Countless other bad things could happen... I strongly oppose submitting any sort of personal info online.

Sorry, Nuclear but I think it is a bad idea. If the board wants to lock out banned users another suggestion has already been posted. Locked reg. A few banned members have some good and unique posts I want to add, they just didn't handle the crit all the well.

It (pay system) would discourage the 0.002% serious new members who might not want to pay for a forum and a forum with no new members is not good.
But the real problem here is us. We give these twats the attention that they so desperately need/desire by replying to their posts. On a forum where I was a member a long time ago, it wasn't the trolls who would get the bans but rather the nublings who replied to the worthless posts who would get a warning. It was a case of very strictly enforced collective discipline but it would drive the trolls mad when they realised that their posts were being collectively ignored.
I read about an application developed for dealing with trolls on boards which was a bit like that. The troll sees a version of the forum with his posts but the rest of the members see a version without his posts. So the net effect was that those posts were never replied to and it was like a collective ignore button. I am not sure about the name but it was 'something sandbox' or something along those lines. Ofcourse it required the trolls to be flagged first but with all the ip masking methods available it's a bit difficult.

It would be cool that mods could mass ignore all MJs clones so that the clone would be ignored for all of us, and we would not see them, thus we wouldn't pay attention to them...

Closing registration is really the best solution, it has proven to work in the past plus it can easily be implemented. Only the admins can tell why it hasn't been done yet.
Requiring new members to pay for access to this forum and giving financial details isn't an option, i mean who of us is willing to give their cc details, I certainly wouldn't.

With Swedbank you can use a program to crate creditcard numbers for shopping online so this is not limiting in any way (for Swedbank costumers that is).
