I have no problems with FPS on the console. Its just a matter of getting use to the controls. On the other hand if the game isn't designed with a lefty in mind I have a big problem aiming.

You guys are fools.
Halo sucks now for the same reason Half-Life sucks now.
It was good in its time, you can't go back to it, it doesn't work that way.
And yes, Half-Life fucking blows now, end of story.
And no, I'm not compairing the two, so don't even start.

Yeah console FPS' suck. I didn't know if this was PC or Console version though... I guess they are probably gonna release on XBOX first. Halo 1 sucked ass. But now that I have a GT6800 I might give it another go.
I went to a friends house yesterday and he had Starwars Battle front on PS2. Man it looked like PURE CRAP. I tried to be nice but it was just horrible. Looked like Quake 2. Maybe worse.

does anybody know if there is a good, working emulator for the xbox? Last time i checked there was none and i m to lazy to go through the whole googling at the moment... tia

I used to respect RIPTER's opinion's/post's. Until I just read that post above I lost all credibility. Yes I do have a XBOX and a PC, FPS were made for a mouse and keyboard and work perfectly together; regardless if the mouse and keyboard combo are on a PC or console or whatever.

yup i hear you man.
i only have q3 installed still on the pc (well except sims2 for the family). the games comming out for pc lately just dont cut it anymore. hopefully hl2 will change that.
on xbox we have:
action:ninja gaiden, riddick, halo2 (today)
racing:burnout3, pgr2, rallisport challenge 2
sport:pes4, ea-games, sega-sports, top spin
rpg:fable, kotor, soon kotor2, jade empire
and so on...gives me plenty to do. and yes im aware that some is for pc as well.
only thing pc still seem to have going is strategy. but most of them are warcraft clones anyway. honestly when was the last good pc game released? and please dont say doom3.

By the way.. u will *NEVER* have a good first person shooter on a xbox.. its painfull obvious..
if u think playing with a gamepad is the same as a mouse + keyboard.. then LOL @ u ...
If u thought vice city was better on PS2 than it was on Pc.. then lol @ u aswell.

Im very sorry, but 90% of console games these days last on average about 4 Hours of playtime untill boredom/repetitive play sets in. Its well worth it to buy a new videocard for PC every 2-3 years. If you take into account how much your getting ripped by buying say 20 console games at $50 a piece in say 3 years, thats what? $1000. Usually for PC youll only need to buy 3-5 good games in 2 years to be happy, especially if they have decent multiplayer or are a deep rpg, and have a strong community behind them driving some quality mods.
Its bullshit when I hear console fanboys rave about how good and cheap it is to own a console, it all comes out to about the same price as a good PC in the end + a couple good games.
PC Has nothing going for it? Just this year we had/are going to have:
Rome: Total War
Half-Life 2 (Maybe ;P)
Doom 3 (Its doom *shrug*)
Unreal Tournament 2004
EverQuest 2 (For those who like mmorpgs..)
World of Warcraft (Casual mmorpg)
Vampire Bloodlines
War40k Dawn of War
etc.. I could go on
Mouse + Keyboard > Controller for Fps
End of discussion, go on with the halo 2 crap.

no, but it is a strategy game? kinda proved my point.
hey look. im not saying pc is bad, but for me personaly there has been alot more games for console only lately that caught my interest. hopefully hl2 will be really good and get me back in front of my monitor for awhile.
im first of all a gamer, so the format is not that important to me. its the games that is. but depending on what your taste in games are maybe pc fits you better?
to round it off, of course mouse and keyboard is the ultimate for fps games, but that doesnt mean a fps game for console sucks. once you get used to it it can be real nice. halo proves this.

to each there own.
I know people who think some FPS (halo being one) is far better on a pad, and some who beleive you can only play on a PC.
