I've always enjoyed The Guild games, but they've always been so incredibly buggy/broken with downright atrocious voice work. I think it's the premise behind them that draws me.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I really loved Europa 1400: The Guild which was the first one. The 2nd one was good and "meh" at the same time.

i loved the very first one too, it was a buggy and unpolished mess but had something that kept me playing for a long time. If they capture that and make a polished version of it.. im all for it.

I prefer the first one anytime. Second one had a few nice ideas, but...bugs and some nasty gameplay decisions stopped it to be a great game...

So much time wasted on the first game back in the day. Robber baron the previous generation, clergy the next.

The previous Guild games felt like early access even with years of patches. I shudder to think about what state this one's in in ACTUAL early access.

How is it? Looking at the forum, lots of bugs and such.

Yeah in a raw state still, I'll personally let it stew for a while before touching it - see how the devs start patching it up.

Yeah, have to say I also am a bit disappointed by the state of the game right now... guess I have been spoiled by the likes of RimWorld or Prison Architect, where early access was always (at least by the time I got to play them) highly playable and they just added stuff every few weeks...
Sure, you can see a lot of the promising features already and I still believe it will be a good game in the end but right now I wouldn't recommend it... there are bugs everywhere (annoying stuff, like having to click several times to buy and sell wares), the UI is a mess (half the screen is wasted), essential features like cargo routes are missing and the performance is horrible... i7-4770/GTX980ti/16GB and the FPS drop below 30 when I zoom out...
It's still a long way to go, but I am looking forward to testing it every now and then.
