I made the move to consoles and been playing them for a long time now but one of the games i miss is adventure games, and now i am in the mood for one. You dont see many adventure games on the consoles, especially this gen. ANYWAY, i always liked the sierra and lucasarts games and some of the ones i have played since then have been Ankh, fahrenit(dunno how to spell) broken sword series and that is about it but now is the time once again. What adventure games have come out recently that are better then most?. i see some perry rodhan and overclocked and something called so blonde although it looked kind of kiddie. I tend to like the sci fi futuristic or present day real world stuff best but i do enjoy the comedic value as well.

anyway adventure gamers please clue me in on some good gems i would have missed.

oops, almost forgot about dreamfall, i completed that one so please dont include it.

thanks for any advice.

that's the prequel of Dreamfall , few know it
I did finish it in its days but now it looks very outdated graphics wise , it's a great game if a person can bear the outdated graphics

Secret Files: Tunguska is also available for Wii. Zak and Wiki is another great adventure.
I know you didn't really ask for console adventure games but I thought it's worth mentioning.

Seconded.

Unfortunately alot of current adventure titles are presented in episodic formula, which to be honest, I am quite allergic to. If you are not however, you might try the new sam & max games..

episodic just plain works with sam&max
especially the later episodes that weren't five minutes long anymore, but proper games in themselves
it feels much more like a tv show this way with distinct episodes, which was much of the inspiration for the characters in their genre in the first place
unfortunately most games don't work episodically
halflife, sin and penumbra among others
