Did I miss something ? I'm not uptodate with PS3 but it seems this is the first user-mode hack for it ?

Running unsigned code is the first step to total dominance over a console !

P.S.: The file is available online for downloading, you put it in a usb stick etc...

So, I guess there is a good start someone will make a USB loader to run unsigned code and apply a hack to make runnning unsigned code from the hard disk or BDplayer possible ... until the next console reboot. A usb loader !

It will be patched in the next system update for sure. If I had a PS3 I'd not update it !

Yeah you can run Java homebrew with this from USB, but I somehow doubt that it'll lead anywhere on the quest to run unsigned code.
As the stuff you run with this is actually signed by a tool I believe (you can only sign BD java stuff with it) you're not running unsigned code. This technically isn't even an exploit.

Someone mentioned there was also an interesting thing on the PSP that allowed you to run flash games and stuff, but it still didn't lead anywhere.
