Me and a few friends of mine are going to play some cod4 in a LAN. How do we play user created maps?
Cant find any good info in either readme files for the maps or online.. using start map "name of map" doesnt do anything. A guide or a simple explanation would be great, thanks!

Tell me how you did it, please, i still play some LAN's and it can prove useful.
I saw the post yesterday, i had already done it and i fussed a bit around, but i just couldn't remember how i did it.

its so incredible lame that they still havent fixed this in a easier way... but here ya go:
create "usermaps" in COD4 directory.
put the directories within the zip/rar's you've downloaded into it.
create directory "CustomMaps" inside the folder called "Mods"
cut/paste all .iwd files in here from the "Usermaps" directory.
start the game, chose Mods, chose CustomMaps
start a MP map (user maps won't show)
start a user map by entering for example
map mp_silo_v1c

also, I've fooled around with a mod called pezbots that gives you bots, seems to work ok.. good for smaller LAN's..
