At the time I didn't think it was very good. It was extremely action focused and not like the original
But that was almost 20 years ago and shitty games have since worn me down. It's probably really decent by today's standards!
At the very least, it'll be nice to play on a screen much larger than the PSP's and with better details. Pretty sure you can emulate the original with mods but I still don't think it'll look as good as the new version:
really not a fan of the slot machine combat and fanfic style expanded lore from this game.
It makes me worried for Ff7 remake as they clearly want to include all this crap that turns FF7 into Kingdom hearts, with weiss and nero and genesis and all that... then probably add on advent children... imo it spins FF7's story into ridiculousness.
sure the original story has some weird Nomura parts for sure but it was kept in check. all this other stuff goes too far
no offense if you do like it though. I suppose the expanded stuff must have a lot of fans or they wouldn't keep it.
