Graphically, the game looks ... bad. Lighting is not very good, animations—especially the crowd animations—are terrible. How is it that RDR2, a game from 2018, still outlooks almost all games?
So tasteless with the mix of sci-fi and medieval knights, so I bet its asian, they have zero taste when it comes to creating worlds. It's some costume guy who hates games but looks at trends and then decides they must mix the two because "its what the kids likes, some like scifi, some like fantasy! this will give the most profit!"

Good graphics though.
The text at the end sure looks asian...
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
It looks like Dragons Dogma's cousin but with even more omphness and cheesy Bay-isms, not exactly an enticing combo for me. Where's my Kingdom Comrade II, goddammit.
this was announced a long time ago, mostly kept under wraps. it was so long ago i thought it was completely dead. you can definitely see the black desert engine here and most of these mechanics already existed in that but it was stuck in MMO microtransaction land.
they're gonna home run this shit as a singleplayer game, mostly because BDO was already an exceptional singleplayer game, it was just poorly structured and mired by the online component/mtx systems.
likely a day 1 purchase for me. it looks like they included the kitchen sink in terms of mechanics
It looks like an amalgamation of every action RPG game released in the last decade. It's actually impressive how many mechanics from other games they've managed to cram in.

if anyone makes a list of mechanics in this game, it might just be easier to make a list of what it does not do
Yes, it's an Asian game (Korean to boot...), developed by the same team that "committed" Black Desert Online... That should give you some idea as to what to expect. Especially in terms of "story", which is an atrocious mess.
Yeah apparently it’s a single player campaign story RPG and not online at all which is a pleasant surprise as I thought it was an MMO as per Black Desert

i think what's interesting about BDO is that the story is absolutely massive and in terms of detail, probably eclipses most games. the general area quests are not bad (better than world of warcraft), but the main story arc is flat out rubbish.
i think realistically an AI could come up with something more grounded and interesting, at least for the first half of it.
personally i got no hopes for the story here, but combining BDO's systems should be a ton of fun. it's not like skyrims story was anything to write home about either..
I swear this looks like every single action RPG game made in the last 15 years. A Rogue-Souls-Zelda-Assassin'sCreed-Skyrim-Dragon'sDogma-KingdomCome-MonsterHunter-like game.
