Alright, i'm going to sell my wow account and seeing that loads of people use paypal these days i've got some questions regarding security.

1. After the person have sent the money to me and i've sent the information about my account, is there anyway for him to get the money back from paypal?

2. Do you have to be 18 years old to use paypal or withdraw money from paypal and send it to your bank account?

We'll start with these questions.

I'd appreciate it if someone could put down some of their time and answer them.

thanks.

Just sold 2 accounts. Be very leary of scammers. I had to spend 2 days saying not to roughly 30 scammers before I got someone legit. Sold my priest for 850 and my lock for 400.

1. After the person have sent the money to me and i've sent the information about my account, is there anyway for him to get the money back from paypal?

Yes. They do a chargeback, and it works 100% of the time. Only develop trust with someone and then sell it.

2. Do you have to be 18 years old to use paypal or withdraw money from paypal and send it to your bank account?

Yes because you need a major credit card. You can put it under someone elses name. The person buying will be suspicious though as its under a diff name.

phluxed, so you still use ebay to sell accounts? how does that work these days cause friends their auctions are taken down sometimes the same day, they avoid words like wow/warcraft/account etc.

I would also like to point out that the buyer and seller protection is only for physical products which your WoW account is not. So your heading down a risky lane as is. On top of that PayPal's behavior itself is very down right wrong at times.

Be very weary of Paypal itself.

I used to do alot of gold sales and account sales of wow. I did it thru another company. They made the payments to me. I made over 15000 USD as a guild master of the best guild on the server selling all the gold boe epics etc. I got paid about 25000 USD total for all the gold and accounts. I was a guild master for the guild for over 3 years and a lot of people gave me their accounts and gold if they quit. I would get 2-3000G a week normally selling MC BOE's, cores, etc.

I had people from paypal calling me up asking about what the money was from. I lied and said it was for "online work". Eventually the people at paypal left me alone.

I second that. It happened to my friends brother. He was soo pissed. Like NuclearShadow said there is no protection for WoW accounts. Paypal wouldn't even get involved.

Alright, i'll probably try to avoid paypal at best.

I'll most likely use Bank2bank, moneybookers or western union.
Does anybody know if moneybookers is safer then paypal?

well thing is i wouldnt ever buy an account through paypal or anything else for that matter, if paypal deal goes wrong when you sell, you can at least get your account back if its on your name, have to call them and send a fax with a copy of your ID etc.
