actually nvidia are doing their best to keep the PC gaming alive
since most of the developers gave PC the finger everyone is thinking of buying a console if they haven't already
because we buy expensive material and then leave it to collect dust
this is a good news nonetheless I just hope the combat system is a live action one not a boring unrealistic turn by turn shit

If you actually read the article, it doesn't say ffxiii is coming to pc.
It just says that they are using pc-based cross-platform tools to build the game, but this doesn't mean tey're making a pc version.
In fact, they only talk about ps3 and 360 version in the article.

I mightnt have the greatest english, but the first sentence of the article says its coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC! Quote taken from the NZone article

the lazy tossers didnt even really "port" FF8, i had probs with it and got onto their support and they more or less said that FF8 pc is the pcx version running in an emulator-hence the having to hit alt+F4 to exit the game ..i cant see them pulling a cheapo move like that with ff13, its an unreal 3 engine game

Man this is just a punch in the face and a kick in the groin as a add on bonus to people who bought the PS3. That console is so fucked right now... you know shits bad when the PC is stealing away games that many thought would be exclusive. Slowly we shall inch our way back up to the #1 platform for gaming! FFXIII has NOT been announced for PC. That was a misinterpretation on nVidia's part.
Square-Enix was talking about their engine, Crystal Tools (which is what FFXIII runs on), now being multi-platform, including PC. They've only PC game they've confirmed that will use it is their next MMO, which will be on PC, PS3, and 360.
That news report from nVidia was posted during E3. If S-E had announced FFXIII for PC during the show, every site on earth would have reported.
So, I repeat, FFXIII HAS NOT BEEN ANNOUNCED FOR PC.

Read their announcement. It was not posted today; it was posted on the first day of E3. If S-E had announced FFXIII for PC during E3, don't you think it would have been reported by every major gaming site?
Again, it is an error on nVidia's part, who misinterpreted S-E talking about Crystal Tools being used on PC, as an announcement of FFXIII for PC.

I don't think you understand. Their claim has already proven itself to be untrue.
The story on nVidia's site is NOT a new announcement. They posted that story on July 14, the first day of E3. No other sites posted stories corroborating theirs. Thus, theirs is a mistake.

Because they we're mislead into thinking that it was a NEW announcement from nVidia, just like you (no offense), when it was actually just them making a mistaken report from during E3.
Just because other sites are only now mentioning and linking to the article on nVidia's site (which is the source they're all getting this "news" from) doesn't change anything. That doesn't change the fact that nVidia, the ONLY primary-source for the claim of FFXIII being announced for PC, posted that story nearly 2 weeks ago, claiming that Square-Enix announced FFXIII for PC at E3, which they clearly did not, seeing as no one else made such a report. It's a freak error on nVidia's part.
