Well, I can in fact assure you it won't. Reason being there will be PC user created maps and mods available for free on the PS3.
At the moment there are no such plans on the 360, and if there ever is, you bet your ass Microsoft will charge for it. |

Yeah, it's kinda ironic that conted created on one of microsoft's platforms (windows) can be used on the PS3 version but not on their xbox 360.

love to see how this Pc to PS3 content will work, does it mean the whole blue-ray game has to be installed to harddrive, because normally files have to be added manually and ini files edited and i cannot see how this can happen on the PS3, I personally thin it'll just be offical updates and offical mod packs and i bet they ain't free, we will have to see

they are allready 7 games in the works on the PS3 that will be installed on the HDD (the new Socom is one of that games ) and play without the B-ray Disk

There will in fact be mods from the community. And yes, everything from mods to official patches will be free. If you knew Epic you would know this. |

Don't forget this game is a timed exclussive for the ps3, so we might not see a 360 version until 6 months to a year after it has been realesed on the ps3.

I'd rather have a console exclusive title that was made for consoles instead of UT3.
Something like Unreal Championship. I'll probably just play this on PC instead, unless of course my PC is not good enough to run it by the time it's released.

PS3 only has timed exclusive for consoles for 2007 (last I knew) |

So what will 360 owners love about Unreal Tournament III?
Rein: It rocks. It's so much fun to play on console. There's a little bit of auto-aim like on Gears... what I like is none of our success on console has affected our games on PC. We have mods on UT for PlayStation3 and...
What about the 360 version?

lmao, There would be no way it would be ONLY PS3, Sony only has it timed exclusive meaning from it's release to the end of 2007. Pc version comes out in '08 which is fine by me since it'll give them more time to tweak it.
Softspedia are obviously idiots, they make it seem like UTIII won't be anything else but PS3

It is a timed PS3 exclusive. PC version will arrive in November. Sometimes next year it will be on the 360, whenever Microsoft have time to work with Epic with their closed system. Chances are there will be a big difference when it comes to mods on the two systems. Of course on the PC, this game will be king of mods as usual  |
