Ive noticed alot of flaming and such on this board recently.
I know this might sound cliche, but why cant we all get along.
Yes some of us have different opinions and views and such. But instead of flaming why not maturely debate our differences in an adult way. And as I understand it, most of us are adults.
There's no need to insult ppl. There's no need to make someone feel bad.
Lets try it out for a month. Lets all act maturely and dignified. Instead of flaming debate the issue or if someone offends you let them know they did in a mature fashion
We're all supposed to be friends here, Lets act like it. There's no need to fight and flame and bicker.

Wouldnt this place be much better if we each respect each other's views and opinions and not attack someone because they have an opposing view.
I really want to see the amount of flames go down. It drives away visitors and doesnt help the board at all.
Im not saying we all should change over night. But with a little effort, I think this is a goal would could be accomplished reasonably

Ive done this thread to death several times mate.. Never gets anywhere because of idiot mods and immature majourity of members on the board now. Most of the people who where here with us at the start are long gone ; im following them soon too I think.

Thats my point. It isnt 'here' anymore. It is no longer somewhere I trust, enjoy posting, or enjoy viewing. Im sorry to say it after what, 5/6 years? but it is the truth. The night of the Jenni/masterhuba/saint/serben fiasco (pathetic) was the night I lost interest completely in this place. I probably won't leave, but I certainly have only a fraction left of the 'want to be' here now. Its not even nforce anymore, its "NFOhump" *fucking retarded*..
Lets be honest, how much do you agree the place has changed? It is almost inactive for a start, there was a time when I could post a question in the void or the hardware section and get 10 responses in less than 5 minutes, now Im lucky if I get one solid post that isnt off-topic, flaming or crap.

I think the flaming is part of the problem. New users are afraid to post because they think they are gunna be flamed or ridiculed.
Things will pick up once again. I have no doubt about that.
And still, even if it doesnt, isnt it better to have a community that gets along with each other than the alternative.
I think, if we all make a good effort, we can change this place for the better. And thats what Im trying to get people to realize.
I dont like it members are at odds with each other. We shouldnt be. Debating is fine. Flaming and name calling and all that shit is totally unacceptable as adults.
If enough people make an effort, I do believe we can change this place for the better.
I dont want to see Nforce/NfoHump die. I like it here. Smart people, wide range of opinons, vocal people, people that make you think and open your mind to alternative possibilities etc
I truely believe the new users are getting scared away because they fear being flamed. If we all respect one another and tolerated one another and realized people dont always have the same view and debated in a mature fashion, things would drastically change....for the good.

I think the new users are getting deterred by threads like this focussing on the flaming.
People don't like drama, and when you magnify it like this, they're like WTF is this? I don't need no drama.
All forums have flaming - its what happens when mass people get together and talk about shit. Happens at parties and shit too.

This has nothing to do with drama. Im bringing a situation into the light so to speak.
Its better to discuss things, get them out in the open rather than lets things go unsaid.
Why is it whenever someone makes a truly sincere post, people call it drama. Its not drama. Its discussion. And only through discussion can issues be resolved and corrected
And lets not try to be like other forums. Lets be a cut above them.
Im not saying we should agree with everything.
But rather, discuss stuff in a mature fashion. Instead of calling someone a 'cockfag' or 'your an idiot bla bla bla' explain to the person your view of the subject that way diaologue can be opened up and issues resolved

I think flaming is the most surface shit you can get, no substance, I often sit here laughing hysterically both at the ineptness OF said flamer, as well as the actual flame itself because I know someone is going to take it to heart.
I'm just calling it like I see it when I say this is drama.

Syco, but on the other hand, you have angry little new-comers, that may or mat not be very important on other boards, they come here, don't obey the rules, insult old-time members. They don't deserve better. Whenever I join a new community, the first thing I do is observe and learn that community, not curse at everyone.

true, but when they realize that thats not how we act here they will a) either leave b) or conform to our values and rules
I dont see the problem with all of us respecting one another and trying to get along
Sure, the occasional flame may happen. All Im suggesting is we keep it to a minimal. Thats not so hard is it? |

I have to agree with this. I remember when it seemed like I knew 80% of the members here, and except for a few bigots everyone had something distinct to add.
I rarely visit the site now, maybe twice a week. Many of the people whose opinion I respect hardly post anymore, so I feel less inclined to post. My life is also a lot busier now, so thats a factor. But if Nforce had still retained it's quality of membership I would make the time to join in.

you should come around more often man. Your a good, articulate guy and I enjoy reading your posts and opinions and views. And Im sure many others do

I for one would like you to post more. Your post cracked me up and always added something different. I was so happy to see Syco posting again too.
Really it is just a few members that are bad and the trolls made it a lot worse. No flaming yet in this thread. Maybe there is hope no? I guess we can all do our part and not feed the trolls.

I wonder what happenned to Subby. Luzifer, aslo. Those two where top guys, they dont post anymore. I remember subby got banned, but he was unbanned and im sure he came back for a short time a few months ago but is gone again?
I even miss Anarxist in his early *omg your muzlem lovers* days, he at least trolled with taste. I did help and initiate his ban however, he took it too far that day he went.
The next kick in the balls was Jenni being demoted of her status and leaving. This greatly pissed me off, since the other participants in the arguement did a lot more and didnt get punnished for it. Serben is the biggest terrorist flaming troll we have here yet nothing ever happens to him, are the mods scared of banning him for fear of beind demoted for being labelled a racist/xenophobe or something?
I think it is also time to elect new moderators. I personally would never want to be a mod here but Im sure there are plenty of worthy users who would take up the job. We dont have enough active ones like we used to. I see flame comments going unread for days sometimes before any action is taken. Im not slating the mods, Im just saying we dont have enough active ones.
These things need to be sorted out before the forum can pick itself up from the ground. They are outstanding issues that have been going uncatered for ages now; to quote oscar wild "taking the fucking piss".

True, there are coming a few new soon I guess, and there were a few who went away recently.
@dazz, dryan rocker, that ginger mofo always cracked me up. Same with zTc.
