I've created my own custom compilation as well, did a lot of custom stuff and fixed some bugs myself and edited alot of mods to make them work together, my oblivion installation is 24gb and theres 250 mods  starting with the entire fcom package of course.
First edition of this "compilation" was put together over a year, then I cleaned it and did it all over on clean installation so not to have unused data that took me 5 days.

Morrowind had character. Oblivion, sadly, did not. It was a streamlined version of a good game that took away variety which was pretty much what TES had going for it.
TES doesn't actually have freedom. There's hardly any choice (except for Daggerfall's endings I guess) and no consequences. In fact the most Morrowind had was that it limited the Guilds and Houses you could join in a game. That was what pretty much decided your game for you. And that was good because it gave a reason to play as different characters. It gave you variety.
Oblivion took all that away. Dumbed down skills, lowered item variety, how many new books?, generic world devoid of feeling, etc.
So pretty much everything in that game is bland and it failed to hold my interest for a week. Whereas Morrowind lasted me nearly 4 years.
What makes this worse is that Bethesda blatantly lied about a shit load of things and I listened to them. If only I had known that the Bethesda that made Oblivion wasn't the same Bethesda that made Morrowind. :/

Eh? Dude, don't even go there. Don't start accusing me of being a graphics whore! I still fucking play "Daggerfall" for Christ's sake! I made a POINT about Morrowind being ugly, and it is, it's damned ugly.
I played extremely far into the game, actually, I just got sick of the insane amounts of bugs and bullshit. I dislike the game with a passion - and nothing is going to change my mind on that.
