I found this pretty interesting. I know a few people that could have benefited from it Smile

Very educative indeed. It's just not a fair game since the police officer has probably played it hundreds of times before and is not nervous while you're shitting bricks there. Goes against every instinct which says that you should tell the truth especially if you're innocent.

I find it sad that most of the comments in that first link (I'm assuming the posters are mostly american) think that cops only serve their own interests / are corrupted or are just afraid of them for some other reason. Don't know if there's grounds for that attitude since I know nothing about the U.S. law enforcement (except what The Shield teaches Razz), but I'm glad at least here in Finland, the police are genuinely a friend.

Yeah I thought about this a little and while most police would probably appreciate you talking to them openly and telling the truth, if it is a more serious case I'd probably say nothing and wait for my solicitor.

Something you learn very quickly if your street smart to be honest. cops like to twist and manipulate you. not so much the officers doing the arresting, those guys cant be blamed. its the ones that do the interrogation. they dont care if your right, wrong or otherwise. they need to pin whatever crime on someone and whomever is sitting in the chair is the prime target at the time.

Sadly people are still to wrapped up in prejudice & laziness to actually be able to uphold innocent until proven guilty. Sad

Trouble is they cheat so much they don't even know when they are cheating these days. Those who are supposed to be upholding justice perpetrate more injustice than those whey apprehend. Rolling Eyes
