Much more than a tale of being stranded in a strange world, Risen is trying to present a living world that responds fully to every step you take and every decision you make. Risen takes place in a medieval Mediterranean-like world, and starts rather dramatically: the main character starts out on a voyage across the sea to a foreign land. However, during the trip, the ship that he is on is smashed to bits, and he finds himself shipwrecked on a mysterious island with the bodies of the crew scattered across the beach. Although separated by water, the island is a vast place and is one that is wracked by conflict. Two radically different factions have set up camp on the island and are fighting each other for control over territory and the spoils found upon the land. Even worse, monsters and other strange incidents are popping up all over the island, making this a very treacherous place to explore.

There was a rumor that xbox 360 version of Risen is delayed to 2010. In some way it is true but only for North America, European version hits stores 2 October 2009.

What a bunch of dickcunt douchebags. You know what the best cure for a recession is? CONSUMERS BUYING STUFF! If we don't have anything to buy, the money just sits in banks screwing over the economy more. God I hate those fucking douchebags. I'm not even looking forward to what will amount to be a buggy unpolished piece of shit game, but jeez at least treat your potential customers with some semblence of respect...

Smart move. It is highly probably no one in the US knows who or what Piranha Bytes is. Much smarter delaying the game than getting assraped by Dragon Age.

so visualy I think xbox version will be superior than my pc version. Visual side of the game isn't most important part of it. I think story gameplay and rpg elements are. You don't like this game just pass on this one.
