Aye, the Noobs Guide is absolutely fantastic. As long as you possess a modicum of reading ability .. and the prerequisite nForce4 or VIA SATA card, you'll be fine. I flashed my 360 in less than 10mins -- the hardest part was opening the damned case, lol.

Took me 22 hours Very Happy but it was my first time of flashing any console, the hardest part was setting up my second comp which had nforce4 but not windows, keybord, monitor, mouse and all the necessary equipment, lucky I found ram for it. Opening the xbox was a hassle too and the figuring out which sata port to use, I had four ports and the last port I tried was the right one go figure, basically nothing went right that day but it was gratifying in the end.

My drill came with torx bits Razz

And yeah, carefully taking apart the case took the longest for me Smile

You can also check youtube or google video for videos of people taking it apart/flashing it as well.

Luckily I already had a full set of Torx drivers, thanks to my previous modding of the original Xbox. Flashing took around 10 mins (I was EXTREMELY lucky, it seems) but opening the case took 30+

I was so scared of breaking off some of those clips :-\

The entire process took about 2 hrs for me opening and re-assembly took the longest. It would have taken less time but i double and triple checked each step. It can also be done with an nforce3 mobo.

It took me forever to open it but flashing it took just 10min even though I had to get the drive to B mode with slax. Re-assembly took even longer than opening, somehow I had managed to bend some metal that's inside the case and it took a while to line the upper part of the case with the lower part Very Happy

I followed along with this video to open mine, it made it pretty easy although I did go really slowly when I did it.

I got EXTREMELY lucky with mine .. since my BenQ drive didn't need the Slax/ModeB option to work.
