A playable demo of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is now available, allowing you to experience the upcoming third-person acrobat action sequel by Ubi Soft Montreal. This massive multi-language demo contains an already familiar intro movie and (at least) one level situated on the ship from that movie, which also serves a tutorial.

All I can say is wow.... This game is really really cool.... The graphics do lack a certain polish but if they can fix them and a few of the AI bugs I ran into then this game will be even better than the last. I just love the 2 weapon combat and how dark the whole game is....

jesus wept!!! whats the matter with programmers today. i completely fail to understand how a level or two from a game could possiibly take up more than a hundred or so meg even in this day and age.

I think the demo is pretty good but I like all the platform stuff not the combat stuff. I loved the first one so I'm looking forward to this.

That is exactly how i feel.
A game like this minus the combat would own so much.
It would be more like a Platform adventure.

It is still a great game though Smile

Yeah I heard that they're making the new one darker which I like but they're concentrating on the combat which I don't like. It still feels the same as the first one's fighting.

Yes hahe, this game is alot darker than part 1 and that brings this game down some in my opinion.
Im quite possitive that i will prefear part 1 over this if the rest of the game will have the same feeling as the levels in this demo did.

The graphics by the way are excellent. And it runs so good.

Maybe he just dont think it's all that perfect.
The game has it's own unique graphical style, no doubt about that.
I think there are many out there that find the graphics very weird and maybe even ugly in some cases. I am not one of them though.

I think Jak & Daxter on ps2 for example looks gorgeous (problary one of the best looking games i have ever played, visually, not technically) and i know many would just laugh at me for thinking that. It doesnt have awesome textures or any flashy lightning effects, it's just the style that totally turns me on. Smile

I was talking about the character models.... they really do look dated compared to games out there these days.... I am aware that this was a problem with the first game and I'm not knocking it but the AI bugs really do have to go. I know it's just a demo and so I'll hold of making anymore snap judgements until the final is released but it's just my opinion, feel free to disagree. I just don't like how people have to resort to personal attacks when it comes to matters of opinion. Gameplay wise, the game seriously is amazing and like I stated earlier, I love the new combat system, it packs a lot more punch than this game's predecessor. Just the fact you can see blood this time around makes it a lot more real for me.

totally agree with both of you. the fighting part in the first one was not fun at all for me. and the 2nd one seems to have more fighting even. ay ay ay. Sad

hopefully less fighting, more jumping and more puzzles in this one.
