After AC3's super sales figures it was kinda obvious, that poor cow brings a lot of monies!
I guess it's time for Asia

I'm sure they'll iron out the performance issues on the PC version of that one...

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
I'm not touching AC4 until there will be confirmation it's actually playable on the PC.

Well, it IS playable, the port is just very shoddy because it's so uneven. I never encountered problems in Boston or in any area of the game really, and my PC is mid tier at best.

Probably fake rumor but anyway: http://www.reddit.com/r/assassinscreed/comments/181u16/assassins_creed_iv_black_flags/
Quote: | I just posted this in r/gaming but was told of this subreddit. Anyway, I was on a flight where the lady in the row in front of me was working on a powerpoint presentation on marketing strategies of several gaming titles. And one that stood out the most was AC4: Black Flags, aimed for release 2013 Holiday season according to her slide. It already had a cool looking logo for it.
Unfortunately I didn't take any photo, just wanted to share it with all the AC fans, and give those who are trying to figure out the next story line a little hint.
EDIT: thanks everyone for the nice karma and comments! It feels good to be able to contribute a bit to one of my favourite game ( I still need to play AC3 though..) |

Quote: | Apparently (and I use that word gingerly), the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series will be titled "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag" and will feature some form of a pirate story arch and/or elements. |

That actually sounds pretty good, they will probably improve upon the naval battles mechanic that every reviewer loved in AC3 even if they slammed the game.

It would have been nice to see something a little more exotic, like in those Assassin's Creed China fan arts that everyone was talking about a month ago. But I won't lie, a yarr harr AC sounds pretty exciting too.

I would've screamed 'Fake!' out loud since I mistakenly read the title as "AC: Black Fags", but then I looked at it again more properly...

Right, let me rephrase that then.
I won't touch AC4 until I know for certain it's not some 5cent port with bugs and glitches out the ying-yang without even being properly optimized.

Ohh god, the features...
The features don't matter much if the game lags and has a ton of bugs.
And no, I can't say 40-50FPS in Boston/NY is good. Even if my machine isn't creme de la creme it's still WAY above the recommended specs.
What really amazes me is, everything before AC3 was smooth as a baby's butt....

Well, the story in AC3 was actually pretty neat. I really liked the whole aspect of them showing how "the good guys" aren't really always that good and will still screw people over.
However the gameplay and just the feel of the whole thing, was better in previous titles for some reason.

(i like AC games,but still )
so let's place some bets;) will it be...altair in the jurasic age? or maybe far east kung-fu monk vs tamplers?

Already a new time period? After staying in the Renaissance for 3 games?
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

I must be one of the three people on this forum who had a smooth experience with AC3. I'm usually the unlucky one. Finally I'm a winner!

Same. It's too bad the combat was simpler than my 3 year old son's iPad games though. |
Still harder than AC2, Brotherhood or Revelations.
