Microsoft has announced a release date and pricing details for its upcoming zombie survival game, State of Decay 2. The title launches for Xbox One and PC on May 22, and it'll be a little cheaper than fans might expect.
The standard version of State of Decay 2 will run for $30, while the Ultimate Edition costs $50. The latter grants players access to State of Decay 2 a few days early, on May 18. It also includes an Xbox One copy of State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition, as well as the forthcoming Independence and Daybreak DLC packs when they release.

Bought a 2nd hand Xbox One X from a friend of a friend. Had to get my money back though after a couple of days as it was nothing but a shit show and now won’t even boot up! Buying a brand new one on Friday and then I’m preordering the Ultimate Edition of State of Decay 2 to play 4 days early! Can’t wait!
The game is what it is. The reviews are what they are. I’m hearing it’s buggy, boring and repetitive with no story. Doesn’t change the fact that I’ve already preordered the Ultimate Edition to play it tomorrow when I get my Xbox One X tomorrow. Still intent on playing it tomorrow and whether it’s crap and I don’t like it or crap and I do like it, I’ll be replying to this thread

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Didn't know that headshot insta bought an XBOX One X just for this game (because let's face it, knowing you there is nothing else you'd wanna play on it right now)...
I don't even think Sea of Thieves is for you...
And since you already had a PS4 Pro... ? Or maybe you wanna play 3Rd parties in a higher resolution than the PS4 Pro ?
I feel bad for you, please send it back to wherever you bought and do yourself a favor and buy a Nintendo Switch. You'll be able to pirate games too real soon and the games here are more of your type.

Yes it’s true I bought Xbox One X to play State of Decay 2. It has been my intention since I sold my original Xbox One in December last year.
The focus on multiplayer puts me off the Sea of Thieves otherwise it would be very much on my radar.
The lack of exclusive titles is a massive concern so I have high hopes for lots of announcements at E3 lol. There is a chance I might sell the console once I’m done with State of Decay 2 and more specifically if there are no big games for Xbox One X in the pipeline.
I played about 5 hours of State of Decay 2 and considering I was expecting to be disappointed, I really wasn’t. Im not yet bored and have experienced no bugs. It’s very much like the first game with a lick of paint and I am actually really enjoying it.
Surely the most pointless console ever. All of the exclusives have bombed badly. Their marketing strategy is baffling.
Just because I love tech, I bought myself a One X before christmas thinking I would drool over the graphics on Forza and worrying myself about how little time my PS4 Pro would now get used.
Returned it for a refund less a week later - found it a very meh console - the graphics were only a small step above the Pro, I couldn't stand, or even understand, the UI, the thing wouldn't even autoswitch my TV to the hdmi imput when it was turned on, and when I realised how few games there actually were for it and how small the technical superiority (in practice) was, I had the most terrible buyers remorse. I accidentally on purpose damaged the internals so the retailer had to give me a refund under faulty goods law - it would have ruined xmas big time had I been obliged to sell this 2nd hand and lose god knows how much on it.
There endeth my interest in microsoft for this gen and probably the next as well! Such a difference to the 360 days, when it was the opposite scenario.
I bet there will be a new Switch in perhaps 1 year with improvements.. 3DS had like 4 versions or whatever..
I sold the Switch. It seems like i no longer enjoy either Mario / mariokart or Zelda, bit sad tbh, but eventually you grow tired of some genres/series i guess. Metroid Prime is something i still would like to play (i think), so i might get it again if there's an improved version.
For a while i was thinking about buying an XboneX to play RDR in 4K but its crazy money for 1 game haha.. it really has nothing going for it, even the exlusives are very meh.. one of the most uninteresting consoles ever released (..and especially so for us who have a good PC).

And this is why I probably won't be buying a switch, even with the ability to play backups fast incoming. I just don't think its worth the initial outlay on it all for a few games, even if they're free.
Definitely not worth buying a one x just for RDR! You would regret that massively! It will look fine on PS4 and nearly as good as One X on PS4 Pro
