Open Call for Battle Realms Bugs – Dust off those Tomes
On March 26, 2012, in Battle Realms, by Ed
Hi All,
We are getting very close to some exciting news about Battle Realms. It’s been 10 years since we’ve worked on this brand and you fans have been playing all that time. It’s incredible the world wide support we’ve seen for BR and BR:WotW all these years and now we want to open the floodgates to your comments.
We, here at Liquid, are taking stock of everything we want to fix or make better in new versions of Battle Realms and we’d love to hear your suggestions and bug reports. Because this matters so much to me, I’m going to give out a very special email for this. ed@liquid.to This was my email address when we were developing Battle Realms originally and we’ve resurrected it for this special occasion.
So please fans of the game (haters need not apply) please send me your well thought out critiques and known bugs and we’ll add them to our list of things to fix and improve on.
Obviously, we’re just going to ignore anything that’s full of hate or attitude so leave that at home. It’s a lot easier for us to hit “delete” than it is for you to type your rant. We’re looking for people who would genuinely like to see the next great Battle Realms RTS and want to lend us their knowledge from years of playing.
Battle Realms coming to a PC near you?

Yes, it’s true. After more than ten years since it’s first release in 2001, Battle Realms is working its way to a new release on current gen PC’s.
More details are forthcoming, but Liquid is in talks with providers to bring BR back to RTS fans everywhere.
This probably will get rereleased trough a hd version, i remember playing this about 10 years ago
I still have the cd lying around, man i can't even grasp that its been 10 years since, watching that video the graphics seem far more dated than i could remember lol
As some of you know, we have been working with Good Old Games to re-release Battle Realms for current gen PC’s. Well, it’s here and the guys over at GOG have done a great job getting this out.
Congratulations to them. All their hard work has paid off.
As many of you know, Battle Realms has always held a very special place in my heart. It was some of the most innovative and creative work that I’ve done and the creation of that universe was all consuming in those days. In many ways, I still think that it’s one of the best RTS games that money can buy. More than a decade later, there are still very cool things in BR that no one has attempted.
For the price or $9.99 you get not only the original Battle Realms game, but the glorious expansion, Winter of the Wolf! Tell your friends and buy yourself a copy, or ten.
Think of it as a Kickstarter of sorts. All the proceeds that we get from the sales of BR on Good Old Games will be used to make more awesome games in the Battle Realms universe. And, of course, you get the original game and its expansion up front!
With your support we can dedicate more and more of the company to making cool Battle Realms games.
Good news! Liquid recently announced that a new Battle Realms game is being worked on. They haven't released any concrete info on it yet, basically only that it's going to be called Battle Realms: Lair of the Lotus and that they want to finance it via Kickstarter.
Battle Realms is one of my all-time favourites, so this will very probably be the first Kickstater project that I back.
Some info from the last two videos:
- HD remakes of BR and WotW might happen, possibly as stretchgoals.
- Same clans, additional ones depending on funding.
- Same heroes. Additional ones might come post-launch.
- WIP images of the Hordling at the end of the last video
It's on GOG like forever. And here it's early access
sar·casm | \ ˈsär-ˌka-zəm \
1: a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain
2a: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual
b: the use or language of sarcasm
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
