Russian PC game SWARM will be translated to ENG renamed to "MorphX" and released only for XBOX360, talk about porting a 2008 PC game to xbox360 now

505 Games has just announced the upcoming release of MorphX, a 3rd person action-adventure game, expected for May 21st, exclusively on Xbox 360. In this game, developed by the Russian studio Buka Entertainment, you will play the part of a human resistant facing an alien invasion, in a devastated Moscow, and notably its subway, that is obviously in vogue. 29 March 2010, Milton Keynes – Global games publisher, 505 Games today announces the release of upcoming 3rd person action adventure, MorphX. Developed by Moscow based Buka Entertainment, MorphX will ask players to question their will to survive an alien invasion, as well as their own humanity, when it is unleashed on Xbox 360® on 21st May 2010.
In a world where humans are forced to scurry in the ruined subways and sewers of a futuristic Moscow devastated by attempted alien genocide, MorphX tells the story of the human resistance against their newly imposed masters. As well as guns, grenades and other more traditional weaponry, players will be able to absorb the DNA of fallen enemies to assimilate superior alien abilities and technologies, at the cost of their humanity.
“MorphX gives players the choice of remaining purely human or taking on some characteristics of the enemy for a very different gaming experience,” commented Ralph Pitt-Stanley, Commercial Director, 505 Games. “In other words, if you get tired of falling foul of a plasma projector claw, you can always opt to grow one of your own in retaliation!”
Played from a 3rd person perspective, the events of MorphX unfold in a fully realised 3D representation of the Russian capital, where players must fight through a demolished Red Square and on the steps of a battle scarred Kremlin. Boss battles will feature building-sized adversaries that will require as much wit as physical dexterity to overcome and emerge victorious.
MorphX will be published by 505 Games, exclusively for Xbox 360 on 21, May 2010.

so about it, yeah its a port... its bigger then the PC counter part, PC was 800mb big this one is 1,5 gig installed on HDD... bigger only by the fact it has German, French,Spanish, English,Russian and Italian Dubbing (speech/audio+movies+subs) and has sharper textures then its PC counterpart... and fixed bugs and other things
How to describe it .... its a Russian take on Darksector with many morph ability's to change you to whatever you like, graphically it looks great more like a mishmash of Suffering 2 with Darksector with a bit of Metro , like it was said before its a TPS platformer with physics puzzles (half-life kind)
its a 8/10 game, really nice game didn't tough they will translate it and make it a Xbox 360 port with remastered graphics
haha yeah, the gfx are definitely on the same level as bullet witch, sharp textures and AA don't really help in that case
but the gfx do their job and it's not a bad game at all...animations and gunplay/close combat may be straight from the ps2 era, the story isn't special so far - but hey, it's fun to play and that's what counts (malicious tongues may call it a guilty pleasure )
plus i really love the upgrade system...every time you kill a new alien creature, you get a new power (well at least so far, i'm still at the beginning) and it's not "put points there and x increases", but more of a "link the dots in the most efficient way possible" kind of puzzle mini game which lets you re-configure your character at any time

To be perfectly honest, I REALLY didn't like the PC version - so I doubt a bit of touching up on the graphics is going to convince me to waste a DL disk on the 360 one, not to mention the obvious step-down of the controls from keyb/mouse to joypad. Still, there's not a huge influx of games lately, aside from AP/AW/RDR, so meh-- I might check it out regardless.
I'm still waiting for the upcoming Darkstar One. I freaking LOVED the PC version, so an updated re-release sits right in my sweet spot.

its the same game with retouched graphics, but now you play it with a pad and can pick 6 languages with subs
so if you didn't liked the PC version then don't bother with this one

I played it, controls are horrible, ai is bad (enemy's just standing in front of me doing nothing), music not existent except for some ambient backround sound, voice overs are horrible and lip sync is non existent.
I have to say i couldnt play this longer then 15min so maybe it gets better after a while but i really doubt it and this is coming from a person who completed dead to rights retribution and gave it a 7/10.
The last boss seems pretty hard. Any tips? Stun, shoot, stun shoot is basically what I do... it works...kind of. Its got to be a faster way to kill him. The grenades do next to no dmg, wtf.
