Aye, OVER 600,000 different combinations of weapons. It sounds great, but they're not UNIQUE weapons .. there could be 100,000 machine guns all with different stats and attributes but they're still the same machine gun base. Still, it looks awesome.
Another game I've been waiting for OVER a year now. Sounds like it could be worth the wait though, hehehe.

There's bound to be some overlap (two guns with the only difference being in one stat, for example) but from what I've read of the item generator, it should be robust enough that you'll still come across a LOT of unique variations of weapons.
And at least some boss drops (and quest rewards as well I think?) are hand-made and unique.
I'd wager the highest quality tier (orange colored ones, legendaries) would be hand-made as well, or at least some of them.

I have one copy of Borderlands for the Xbox 360. It is new and sealed never opened and seal is still on the spine. This game isn't in stores till tuesday but we got two copies early. One i'm playing and one i'm selling.
